Description: Kevin Chang is the owner and head chef of Zushi Japanese Bistro. Kevin is a hard working soul. In fact you will probably see him every time you come to his restaurant. His work is fast paced, and there is never a time when he can be caught standing still, yet he always has time to greet and talk with his customers about his art. Kevin has a simple philosophy about his art. Keep it looking fancy, and keep it affordable. That philosophy is one of the many aspects of Kevin"s restaurant techniques that make a trip to Zushi worthwhile

Fantastic meal. Fresh ingredients, wonderful choices. I had the salmon teriyaki, just fantastic, the rest had chicken teriyaki. Beautifully plated, light and fresh, nice fresh vegetable assortment accompanied the dish. OUTSTANDING SERVICE BY NIKI! This spot is a gem.

As a trained Japanese chef I can honestly say that this is "THE" place. Fresh, flavorful, fun, Zushi sets the standard for fine dining and sushi. My wife and I travel quite a bit and are always searching for good sushi, unfortunately, we have become spoiled by this place. You might find the prices are a bit higher than most, however it is well worth the expense if you appreciate the consistent quality experience. You must give it a shot!

Second visit to this awesome sushi place. And as the first visit, enjoyed it very much. The place, at times, require you to make reservation as it gets busy. So please do if you are planning to visit. Choose to sit at the sushi bar to enjoy seeing the chef make what you will be eating. Amazing skills, tasty food, great service.

Zushi Japanese Bistro is a place where I get my artisan sushi fix while traveling in Virginia Beach! Excellent variety of fresh fish sashimi, beautiful rolls, unique and tasty appetizers, fresh shellfish, etc. It's all there, with a style that stays true to the genre of the cuisine, while being creative with more broad offerings! Of course, all the regular sushi offerings are there, but you can also have a "quick cured" salmon plate, much like a lox plate, as well as a beautifully executed Monkfish Liver Pate. Too far out there for you? Try the chicken katsu then, it'll be sure to please.
