One and a half hours away from Washington, DC is a little town called Washington, VA. On Clark Lane is a bed and breakfast called Harmony Manor. Beautifully restored old home in a beautiful setting, Kimberly greets you with a cheery welcome and a tour of the house; Sit in the kitchen, chat, have a glass of wine, and make a new friend. Wonderful place, and people. We recommend Harmony Manor to anyone.

My husband and I spent one night here for a nice getaway from the city, and it was even more relaxing and wonderful than we expected! The views from the B&B are breathtaking and even though Kim graciously offered to make us reservations off-site, we decided to pick up pizza and sit on the porch to take advantage of the views and enjoy the luxury of our accommodations! The entire B&B has been remodeled, and you feel like you are staying at a 5 star private resort! Breakfast was even specially prepared to cater to each of our dietary restrictions, and it was all delicious. We will definitely plan on making another trip back sometime soon.

My husband and I celebrated our 31st Anniversary with a trip to Washington, VA. We had a wonderful stay at the Harmony Manor Bed & Breakfast. The Innkeeper, Kimberly, was gracious and welcoming, and recommended a great restaurant and made a reservation for us. She also suggested a glass of wine on the wrap around front porch as the sun was setting behind the mountains...it was gorgeous! The Inn is on a hillside facing the mountains and has a beautiful view. The restaurant Kimberly suggested, Thorton River Grill for dinner, was wonderful! They even gave us a complimentary dessert of our choice for our anniversary.
We arrived during the week, when many of the local wineries are closed. The assistant innkeeper called around to find one open for us and gave us directions. Breakfast at the Inn was delicious and bountiful! The rooms are elegant and comfortable and Kimberly has wine glasses in each room, a Keurig in the hall with teas and coffees and spa worthy lotions and items in the bathrooms. We loved our room and the views from upstairs windows. The assistant Innkeeper recommended hiking trails in the mountains of Shenandoah National Park, which we loved! The Whilte Oak Canyon Trail followed a creek through several waterfalls. It was beautiful.
We loved our stay at Harmony Manor Bed & Breakfast and we would love to visit again!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and were underwhelmed. Harmony Manor is a nice enough place, and Kim was quite friendly, but something just seemed off. I will stay somewhere else next time.

One of our favorite things to do are Virginia B&Bs and Harmony Manor has all of the grace and charm you could expect from a B&B. Newly renovated with many modern amenities without losing the charm and eloquence of traditional Virginia manors of the past. Every detail of the manor was meticulously crafted to create a truly beautiful experience for their guests. The staff compliments the manor superbly. Kim Fort, proprietor and hostess, ensured every detail was perfect along with many of the local options for dining, the area interests and our favorite, exceptional "must go" wineries. We were not disappointed in any of the venues recommended. Thank you for a great time and a return is assured.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are very quaint and charming. We had the master suite which was exceptional in ever...

My husband and I stayed at Harmony Manor for two nights, and the whole experience was awesome! Kim is so gracious and kind, and really made us feel welcome. She also made a delicious breakfast each morning, and was more than happy to assist us in making dinner reservations and suggestions/recs of restaurants/activities.

The house is beautiful and pristinely clean!! We stayed in the Tranquility Suite, and it was exactly as advertised - soooo relaxing with a super comfortable bed and pretty decor. The views from the house are absolutely stunning. We had a clear view of the Blue Ridge mountains from every window in our room. The wrap-around porch also made for an excellent place to enjoy an afternoon toddy or drink our morning coffee. The house is also so large that even if there are other guests there, you feel like you have the whole place to yourself.

During our stay, we visited the Little Washington Winery, Gadino Cellars, drove up Skyline Drive, enjoyed a couples massage at Little Washington Spa, and capped it all off with an amazing dinner at the Inn at Little Washington! (If you are going to Washington with the main intent of dining at the Inn, you should definitely consider staying at Harmony Manor...you will not be disappointed!)

We had a great quick trip - relaxing.romantic and full of delicious food and wine - we wouldn't change a thing about it!

We reserve the whole B&B with three other couples to celebrate a "big" birthday. Kim was absolutely the best host in helping us not only enjoy a wonderful weekend at the B&B, but also she helped arrange private dinners and wine tasting events for us. She was the perfect B&B host. The Manor is furnished very tastefully and the décor is relaxing. It is very spacious giving everyone the opportunity to join in with the group around the pool table/bar or slip away for some privacy in one of the many sitting rooms. The Manor is remarkable clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful weekend and I sincerely appreciate Kim & Randy making this birthday event memorable for all of us.
