We stayed here overnight on our way to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable enough. The breakfast bar was limited but there is a Cracker Barrel right next door. A bit hard to get into as it was tucked away behind other businesses.

I know when you stay at Super 8's your experience can range from pretty bad to pretty good. Well this Super 8 exceeds that range. I would categorize it as "very good", especially when you consider the room price!

The rooms are fresh feeling and clean. New furnishings...nice large flat panel TV with lots of channels to select from. Great reception. No hassles. Beds are comfortable. Typical room amenities, including refrigerator and microwave. But there are a couple of things I'd like to call attention to:

First, the electrical outlet at the night stand is easily reached AND the USB plug stayed securely in it. This was very much appreciated. I can't tell you how many times I've been rooms where I either couldn't reach the outlet or the USB plug would continuously fall out.

Second, the position of the AC unit...which by the way was relatively quiet...is higher on the wall. This allows the air to flow better into the room than when it's positioned lower and often times right next to one of the beds. Also, the AC had a remote control. Nice touch!

Breakfast is very minimal. Not unexpected given the low room rates.

No, it's not going to be like a Hilton, but it's a great value and it's location is very convenient. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. If I had one suggestion, I'd say it was that there needs to be better signage in regards to where to turn to get to it. It's a bit confusing.

I'd definitely stay here again.
