Have begun to use these folks on business trips to the Valley area. Decent AARP rate of $64.79 on the Choice website. This is an older hotel with outside door access, single-story structure. It's right in downtown Waynesboro, so you can actually walk to a few eateries and the shopping on Main Street. Lots of parking.

Rooms are clean and recently upgraded. Flat-screen TV is nice, and the WiFi is dependable and fast enough to run Netflix (my test standard for rating a hotel's WiFi) with minimal delays.

Breakfast is typical Choice Hotels with the screwy powdered scrambled egs which really suck, but everything else is fresh and well-presented. Plenty of cereal choices and yogurt, sweet rools, etc.

This is a perfectly acceptable hotel if you don't need a 4-star joint. It's clean, the bedding is up to Choice standards, and the shower is more than the dribble that you get at some places who are trying to conserve water.

Room Tip: Get a room in the "Older" section close to the Office. The doors open to the parking plac...

I had the misfortune of staying here on May 19, 2012 and I will never stay here again for as long as I live for the following reasons:

1) Even though I made reservations for this hotel in October 2011 when I got there after 2:00PM I was informed by the manager that my room wasn't even clean yet and that I would have to wait for it to be cleaned.

When I asked to be put into a room that was already clean I was rudely informed that all the rooms were booked (the parking lot was empty at the time).

2) The management is so cheap they don't run the a/c in the interior corridors of the building I was supposed to stay in. I was sweltering in the heat while being forced to wait for them to clean the room. Also they don't run the a/c in the lobby area where breakfast is served.

3) when I finally did occupy the room, the cleaning staff left their cleaning supplies and the toilet wouldn't stop flushing. Also the key-card I was given wouldn't work on the lock.

4) when I complained to the manager and demanded another room at first I was told in a rude manner that all the other rooms were fully booked. When the manager realized that I was not going to meekly submit to this mistreatment, he gave me another room (which was already clean) and two doors away from the lobby.

After moving my stuff in and unpacking for the night's stay, I left the hotel for six hours to visit relatives. When I returned later that evening I found that SOMEONE FROM THE HOTEL STAFF HAD ENTERED MY ROOM WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR PERMISSION AND HAD DELIBERATELY LEFT THE ROOM DOOR AJAR AND THUS EXPOSING MY POSSESSIONS TO POTENTIAL THEFT!

Luckily for me, nothing was stolen but I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT SOMONE FROM THE HOTEL STAFF HAD DONE THIS BECAUSE THE PERSON HAD TURNED THE DEAD-BOLT IN THE LOCK SO THE DOOR WOULDN'T CLOSE AUTOMATICALLY.

5) the Quality Inn staff have Third World notions of courtesy, hygiene, and efficiency.

6) This hotel is on the wrong side of town. Very little in the way restaurants are in the area.

My suggestion is to book your hotels on the Rosser St. side of town and not this side of town.

We were making a short leg on a long trip and were looking for basic lodging in the Charlottesville, VA, area. Waynesboro is about 20 miles west of Charlottesville and suited our purpose. The property is old but the maintenance level was acceptable. Room itself was quite large. Bedding was comfortable and clean - bathroom was dated. Continental breakfast was abyssmal. Priced way too high for quality of accommodations. Fortunately, we arrived at 8pm and departed early the next morning.

Was in room 387 in the main building. The room is spacious, has a desk and a couch with coffee table. It is clean enough, if you don't look too much, not bad at all. Yes, the carpet is a bit damp, but I had worse, at lot worse at a higher rate. TV, fridge, air condition, coffee maker, ironing table, ... perfect for one or two nights.

Room Tip: there are a few steps on one side of the building, ask for the front if steps are a problem for you

We found all of the hotel staff to be extremely helpful and kind. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Unfortunately, our car had broken down in a nearby location but we were extremely pleased with the hospitality and kindness of the hotel staff. The breakfast and the waffles were especially yummy! This hotel's location right near Sky Line Drive is also very helpful.

This hotel is totally adequate. It is not a great hotel but there is nothing wrong with it either. The hotel hasn't been updated since the 1960s/1970s but they are maintaining what they have.

We had an executive room. The living area was huge with two queen beds, love seat, and a desk with a chair. But it had a postage stamp sized bathroom. In past visits we have had standard rooms with two queen beds, which included a table and two chairs. The living area in those is smaller than the executive but still had plenty of space. The bathroom is a lot larger with the sink area (plenty of counter space) separated from the shower/toilet. Other relatives on the trip stayed in the building in the back (rooms designated "interior corridor"). The room they had was way too small for two people. It had one queen bed, two night stands, dresser, table and two chairs, and hanging space in the living area. There was barely enough room to walk. The bathroom was postage stamp size. Overall the rooms are clean. The carpets should be replaced (well-worn) or at least shampooed (ancient stains).

The breakfast buffet was OK. It is located in the same building as the registration desk. The pictures on the website are not representative of how it looks today. The tables are close together and there is a very small walkway between them to get to the breakfast bar. If there are more than three people in the food area, you can barely turn around or move. The food/beverages included coffees, juices, milk, cereals, waffle mix (waffle iron to make your own), biscuits and sausage gravy, mini muffins, pastries and apples. The woman at the registration desk was also in charge of breakfast - and she did an excellent job.

We were there for a family reunion weekend that was happening along Rt 340 so it was convenient for that. It is also just three miles from I-64 on Rt 250 and is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive. There is a CVS right across the street in case you forget something - although the hotel offers complimentary toiletries (don't know how extensive). We were there during the annual Waynesboro Craft Show in October which I guess is some big deal so hotels fill up early.

This hotel is good if you plan on visiting Shenandoah National Park and the Blue Ridge Drive as it is only a few miles from where they both meet. The rooms were clean the beds comfortable and breakfast was basic. The breakfast area was very small for the amount of rooms they had. The staff were not the happiest I've met but were helpful enough. It was good value for money but don't stay there if you expect 3* accomodation
