“Love The Artist”

We Love It! P. Buckley Moss is my favorite Artist! She also has a barn show at her home in Waynesboro about 3 times a year. It's a lot of fun!

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed 25 January 2013

Located just south of Interstate 64 on Rt. 340 south is a nice place to take a break from driving or spend a night. Even if this style of art is not your bag the history of the valley is shown here. The vast subjects of this artist pecks almost everyone's interest. The museum tour is free. The grounds are cool in the summer and refreshing after a long drive. The kids can run about on the grass and Dad can sit on the big porch in a big rocking chair while mom looks in the gift shop. Plan on at least an hour but figure it will be longer when shopping is involved. Just behind the grounds is a large shopping center with Target, Kohls, Petsmart, Ross and many more places to stole around. Both are very close to many hotels, grocery stores and restaurants located on north side of Interstate 64. Walmart is here for overnight camper parking. The areas are patrolled all hours day and night with your safety in mind. The entrance to the parkway is about 5 miles up the mountain from the 340 exit. This area is great for a weekend getaway.

“Amazing art and history of artist”
Reviewed 17 January 2013

This place is in Waynesboro just off Interstate 64. Three floors of museum with original paintings and other artwork. Admission is free and you can either select guided tour or self tour. Building is beautiful and was built for her museum. Daughter of a Sicilian born mother and an Irish-American father, Moss developed her artistic interests at an early age. Studied Fine Arts and Graphic Design at The Cooper Union in New York City. As a young student Pat was labeled "unteachable" only to discover later in life that dyslexia was the cause of her learning difficulties. She found her inspiration and imagery in the Shenandoah Valley scenery as well as in the Amish and Mennonite people of the area. She considers the lifestyles of these people to hold an important message for modern society. Through her art, and with the help of her Foundation for Children's Education she has dedicated herself to children and learning differences. She has been honored with four honorary doctorics and is international known and respected. This place is a must see for this unique art work. Easy to get to location and wonderful gift shop of artwork and items to buy.

“Enjoyed the museum”

It was nice to walk through and look at the art work, P Buckley Moss does come there to meet people sometimes. She will sign prints that are bought, they have a schedule to let everyone know when she will be there.

We enjoyed our visit to this facility. Beautiful location, even though the area has become bustling, the museum is nicely laid our and appointed.
