Visited in September. We have stayed in a number of Marriott resorts and felt confident that this would be excellent. It wasn't as nice as we were expecting. The apartment was clean but needed some upgrading. The furniture was beginning to look a little worn. The grounds were nice and well kept but the resort just lacked something which is usually found in the Marriott brand.

Room Tip: Lots of trees so if you want light ask for a higher floor

This is an excellent property in a great location. Most Marriotts are top-notch and this is no exception. Timeshare is in a high-rent development with lots of expensive homes around it plus a first-class golf course almost walking distance from the facility. It's 10-15 minutes from historical Williamsburg-in the heart of the "historic triangle" area. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for room with golf course view.

Overall: Highly recommended!

Wow! What a pleasant surprise! About 5 minutes out of the way and absolutely lovely - totally worth the extra driving time. Rooms were clean, nice looking, well kept and quiet. Its a secluded get-away in the middle of a great tourist town. Swimming, tennis, golf and a variety of other activities were available on-property. Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, Jamestown, and Yorktown are just short drives away. I was very impressed with this hotel and will stay there again. I happily recommend it to you as well!

We stay at a lot of these Marriott timeshares. This one was a little on the flimsy side. You could tell construction was cheap-not only could you hear the jacuzzi being filled upstairs but then we could here someone swishing around in it! Also I did not like the fact that the lock out has NO LOCK. Basically it's just a door now with no handle inside. Which means anyone who really wanted to get into your room could easily do so with a pick to jimmy the one catch. Bummer. Finally the mattress on the pull out sofa was way too small. I think it was a full size mattress on a queen size frame, leading to scrapes everytime the kids got out of bed. On the way out we were treated to two hispanic security guards, women (they had walkie talkies), who were seated on the floor by the elevators talking loudly about one of their jealous boyfriends. As if no one else in the universe could understand spanish. It felt like a friday night at a college dorm somewhere in south america. Marriott-you can do better! On the positive side, the pools were lovely and the kids enjoyed the make-your-own sundae gig.

Everything fine as usual with Marriott, but they need to do something about the lack of packing for some of the buildings. Before you get your room see what parking is available near your building. We had to park several hundred yards form our building.
