“Perfect for my family”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

We stayed here as part of a trip to Busch Gardens and it was a very nice stay. I have a big family (4 kids plus me and my husband) and my mom stayed with us as well and our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite was more than enough space for all of us. The room itself was clean and didn't have any major problems. As another review noted, there were some imperfections (there was a crack at the bottom of one of the bedroom doors, the shower curtain was a little dirty) but not anything worth complaining about. We were on the third floor and we never heard any other guests, even though the hotel seemed fairly busy. The free breakfast was better than some of the other chains that I've stayed at. The staff was very friendly and helpful - especially when we discovered that we had left something in the room after we checked out and had to come back. The hotel is also in a great location. There are a lot of great restaurants within walking distance as well as a general store and a CVS. Busch Gardens was only a short drive (a little less than 15 minutes) away. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

We are a family of 5, so its challenging to find an appropriate hotel room. Residence Inn typically works well, as we get the two bedroom/two bathroom. For that reason, we would stay here again. And, the free breakfast is decent, as well.

The room was pretty clean, but detail-oriented guests will find imperfections - crumbs, old wrappers, hairs from someone else, etc.

This hotel is well-situated to the attractions (Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens) and many good restaurants. There is a Chili's right by the hotel; you can just walk over. And, the general store is right there, as well. There are many good souvenirs there, and you can buy tickets for the ghost tours, as well.

The most disappointing thing about our stay was the staff. I don't know that we encountered anyone who was friendly.

I stayed at this hotel May 27, 2014 through May 29, 2014 and it was wonderful! The breakfast each morning was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is in a good location where you feel safe. It is close to Jamestown Settlement, Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. It is only about 50 minutes to Viriginia Beach. The rooms were very clean and spacious. They have really nice kitchens and sitting areas. If I am back in the area I will stay here and will look to stay at more Residence Inns in the future.

We had a 2 bed suite just for one night and it had plenty of space.
Nice kitchen area, I do wish they did have ice machines as well because someone had turned off our ice maker in the frig. It was close to a lot of restaurants in the area, and there is food stores close by. Since it was early spring the outdoor pool was closed but I was told I could use the indoor pool at Springhill suites next door. As always the beds were comfortable.

We stayed in the King bed suite and loved the decor! Great floor plan, very comfortable for computer use, having guests, and everything else. I even liked the water... seems many hotels have water that leave my hair feeling gummy. The grounds are beautiful, though scattered garbage near the bin was never picked up during our stay. I would also agree with others who posted the rooms seemed a little dusty. We had friendly prompt service at all times, and the hot breakfast was definitely better than other stays on our trip. I'd definitely go there again.

Stayed here May 4-6th. Stayed in the two bedroom suite. Was an excellent choice. One bedroom has two queen beds and the other has a king. Each bedroom has its own bath. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were larger than expected. Not sure what others are complaining about, but our room was spotless and the kitchen was complete with dishes and wine glasses. Even a dishwasher. You can walk to several restaurants. Skip Applebee's. The service and food was terrible. Go instead across the street to "Food For Thought." Best food in Williamsburg, bar none. Ribs were the best I've had...ever. The hotel is about a mile from the Colonial Parkway. Highly recommend it.

I have read other reviews of this hotel and our experience was much better. The room was very clean and nice - thanks, Sabrina! - and the amenities just perfect. Everyone whom we encountered was very helpful and friendly.
