“Not worth the bucks!!!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2014

My wife and I stayed here recently and that will be the last time. Hotel looks old and worn and was certainly not worth $169 for a one-night stay, the only reason we stayed here was we had assumed that are reward points would cover a nights stay and it did not live and learn. There are so many nicer hotels for that price close by so look before you leap!!!

Room Tip: Don't stay here...

We chose this hotel as I am a Marriott Gold member and the proximity to the Busch gardens. The hotel was close - 10 mins max to the theme park. The staff was friendly and polite. The area has a few good eating spots for the family. Pool was open to 11 pm so My boys enjoyed the extra water time.

My wife and I came to Williamsburg with 3 friends for a night to just get away from Richmond. We stayed here at the Courtyard because we had a great experience at the one in Miami last summer. We only stayed 1 night but it was VERY clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming and checked us in quickly. What I liked most though was the location. It's in a great yet quiet part of town. Everything is within 5-8 minutes away. When we come back we will be staying there again.

I stayed here with my wife and 2 daughters, ages 3 years and 8 months, for one night.

We checked in around 8:30pm and were greeted by a very friendly Megan. She helped me upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite and explained each room which helped us in our decision making. We were deciding whether or not to use our pack n play or the hotels so she kindly brought one down and even set it up so we could see which one to choose. We ended up using ours as we liked the height better.

The cafe's server was also very friendly and my 3 year old instantly became her friend.

Our room was very comfortable and well stocked and we got it at a great price. Having just spent a night at Great Wolf Lodge, we appreciated staying somewhere quieter for a night. My wife also loves the Village Shops which were right across the street.

We highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Williamsburg.

We stayed ten days over Christmas and were anxious before arrival, hoping our stay would be fine, and it could not have been better! Every phone contact with Megan pre-arrival was helpful and she was patient and friendly (and turned out she was accurate too). On arrival, more of the same. Very rarely do you find a room without a single issue -- but this was the case here. Our space had been recently renovated (rooms) and was absolutely clean. Comfortable with nice bedding, tasteful furnishings, HVAC with both heat and AC available (it was 81 degrees for two days just before Christmas!), and everything worked right the first time. The elevators are really slow and do require patience, but when you get to your clean room you can relax. We enjoyed our clean balcony, the tv was HD, we had a mini-fridge and microwave, and it was quiet. Fitness center was appreciated, equipment was clean too. Used the breakfast once only but staff there was wonderful. The most outstanding feature of our stay was the consistently high quality of daily housekeeping; we appreciated Beverly in particular. Our room just got cleaner and cleaner and things were done just as we asked. I can be quite particular and quick to spot a problem. But there were't any here. If you do stay and have any issue, I am confident that you should let staff know immediately because I sense they care and will respond appropriately.

We stayed here right after Christmas, in a last-minute impulse trip. About 10 minutes to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens, this hotel is just fine for the area. The rooms were clean and roomy. Fire places in the modern and newly renovated lobby provide the feeling of home in the winter time. The staff were friendly but seemed overwhelmed during the busy holiday season. All in all, excellent value.

Sadly, I forgot to put my husband's Tums in the suitcase so we were SO happy their 24 hour market was open and I could get him some Tums (after 10 pm) without having to go to the drug store. The room is clean, quiet and comfortable - not to mention the WiFi is included - which is what we like. They have an indoor pool and spa that we will be using to ease sore muscles during our stay.

The only issue was the room was far from the lobby but close to the elevators (which is what I requested) and we took the wrong elevator up to the second floor and had to walk a long ways to our room. After checking in, it was a breeze to get to our room from our car and vice versa.
