“A Great Place To Stay -- And A Real Bargain”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2014

We have stayed at Comfort Inn Central in the past, and have been impressed enough to keep coming back. I appreciate the updates from the last time we were there. Everything about our stay was commendable. The breakfast was more than expected. The water temp in the pool has always been wonderfully warm. The staff deserves a better commendation than "excellent". They were all so helpful and accommodating. And to top it off, the price of the room was remarkably affordable. We will be back!

We took a quick mother-daughter weekend, heading to Williamsburg with no reservations. We found the Comfort Inn Central via recommendations on TripAdvisor. The price seemed right, so we gave it a shot. We weren't disappointed. It's not the top of the line most comfortable high-end luxury spot, but it was clean, the staff was friendly, everything worked well, we were comfortable, we got a good night's sleep, and the price was right. We'd definitely return!

I stayed at the Comfort Inn Central in Williamsburg, Virginia quite often the past four months conducting business in the nearby town of West Point. The value of the stay was very reasonable and each time I had a whirlpool in the room which was quite enjoyable after a long day.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a whirlpool.

After considerable research I decided to try this hotel. I travel to Williamsburg frequently and have tried a number of properties. I decided to try the Comfort Inn Central as it was close to my activities. My arrival was fine. The hotel is easy to find and my reservation was ready. The breakfast was typical for this sort of hotel including everything you could expect. There was plenty of seating which was nice. The room was large, clean , and comfortable. There were some minor cosmetic issues such as water stains on the ceiling but the property is undergoing a renovation so this should be remedied shortly. As to the trains, the hotel is close to an active rail line. You will hear trains as they pass but they are not running constantly and I did not find it a problem. This is a nice property and a good value.

Spent two nights at this hotel in early March. It's older and it shows in the rooms with peeling wallpaper, some cosmetic issues, and the general condition of the rooms. I can't speak about the other floors but the first floor had a combination of smoking and non-smoking rooms. There wasn't any type of order to this so smoking rooms were right next to non-smoking rooms. The bedspread in the room was stained pretty badly and I immediately took it off the bed and put it in the corner. The rest of the room was clean however. One can hear what is going on in the adjacent rooms if the noise is loud enough. The bathroom was smallish but having a vanity on the outside of the bathroom was convenient since there were two of us. The pool is adequate. It was clean and the water was warm. The hot food had been sitting in the warmer for too long and made it impossible to eat. The staff was helpful and nice. The lobby was clean and organized. This would be a good deal for a family travelling on a budget because of the breakfast and indoor pool. In addition, the hotel is in close proximity to shopping and Colonial Williamsburg.

I always get a good price at this hotel and have been more than pleased with the several stays I have had. I usually will come down to Williamsurg for one night and spend a few days at Busch Gardens with friends or family and immediately look for this hotel by name on third-party sites. This property always has friendly staff and clean rooms, despite being a little outdated and seemingly etchy from the outside. The only thing I do not personally like is to get to the pool or vending machines, you must pass several smoking rooms, which is a little uncomfortable but absolutely not a deal-breaker by any means. I recommend this hotel for short stays in the area- it would probably not be my first choice for an extended stay of three nights or more. I cannot comment on extended stay amenities such as the fitness center or room service, as I am usually out and about during the day.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms are always quieter.

Very nice accomodations during our stay. Rooms were clean. Friendly and accomodating staff. Inside entrance to rooms to increase comfort of security. Ammenities comparable to higher rate motels. Beds comfortable. Complimentary breakfasts offered more than expected. Would highly recommend to travelers who are looking for a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. Rooms are more than adequate in size and nicely furnished. Great accomodations at a nice price. Good for those who don't require elegance and just need a nice comfortable stay while visiting for business or pleasure. Site is close to shopping and attractions and some restaurants are within walking distance. Highly recommend Anna's next to this Comfort Inn. Great food! Great Prices! Highly recommend Comfort Inn Central!
