Kingsgate has been updated! The remodeled unit we stayed in (1br) was spotless and well-organized. We always enjoy the amenities at this resort - the pools (multiple!), putt putt golf and, of course, the video game rooms for the kids (and husband!). We had a 13 hour power outage due to a storm, and survived just fine...I was a bit surprised that the foyers and stairways were completely black - no emergency lighting (thank goodness for cell phones). There was generator power at the main registration and activity areas, though.
We were told, on arriving, that if we'd give them 45 min. to introduce some new programs to us ("not an update" they said) that we'd get the usual gift card. So, since it had been a while since we'd done that, we said ok. Well, it was, once again, a ruse to get you in and be berated and made to feel stupid because we "didn't care enough about your points" to "switch" to the "new program"...and "why hadn't we already done that", etc, etc. At closing in on 2 hours - I reminded them that we had just signed up for a PROMISED 45 minutes to learn about new programs...and they got MAD at US! We left. Never, Never, Never again.
Just go for the fun resort...stay away from the sales staff.
