“Great food, coffee and pet friendly”
Reviewed 31 July 2014 via mobile

Love that they have water bowls out for dogs and lots of patio seating to enjoy your meal with your dog. I had poached eggs on grits which was absolutely delicious and my husband had French toast stuffed with Brie which I tasted and it too was delicious!

“Don't bother going anywhere else”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

We stumbled on to have an after dinner espresso and we wished we had eaten here for dinner. So, we ate breakfast here the next 2 morning before cycling approximately 60 miles each day. The breakfasts are made to order and very good - healthy options too. Then we met friends for dinner; we all agreed there is something for everyone and all meals were very good. Service was great.

“Trendy Cafe”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

Looking for a quick lunch and stumbled upon Aromas in old town. Large selection for a smaller space; coffee choices were varied and terrific (we tried three). Also had their raspberry tea, which was delicious. Ordered the chicken ginger sesame salad for lunch - very large portion, which I couldn't finish. My daughter had a chicken salad sandwich, which she loved. Would definitely go back again.

“Great little spot for some java & the food is good too!”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

We read about Aromas here on TA and the reviews were spot on. The coffee excellent and the food would fall into the very good category. Fresh ingredients slanted toward the healthy side. The deserts were delicious! The apple pie was to die for. Impressively they offered 2 different vegan deserts! The décor is funky and the service is friendly. You won't go wrong stopping here for a snack or even a meal! We will make this a Williamsburg staple whenever we are in town!

“The attraction is the drinks, the food's not bad either.”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

Hadn't heard or read of this place in all of our previous trips to Williamsburg. Tried it because the usual places were not particularly available.

I suppose it's a pretty typical coffee house. Fancy flavored coffees and smoothies call people across from Merchant Square, as we learned two days later when the place was packed and we opted for elsewhere.

I had the Jefferson smoothie, attracted by their creative description. My wife had a coffee with a flavoring she enjoyed. The pastrami sandwich was reasonable company for my smoothie. For drinks: $3-5, the sandwich: around $6, and you save on the (no) tip.

There's no table service in the small seating area and, if the person in front of you is confused by the fanciful food descriptions, ordering at the counter can take quite a while before you get your chance. Then they call you back to the counter to get your food, no idea how long it may take for them to get to your order for making it. You are called for drinks and food at different times with no attempt to coordinate them.

However, it was good enough to try again two days later, but there were A LOT of people ahead of us and some of them looked confused, so we offered another place a chance to feed us.
