We were visiting family and spent the Sunday morning strolling around the old town.

Obviously we can't truly imagine what it was like to live in those wonderful "British" times... but you some get the feel of it.
The Antique Mall is just so full of intrigue and I could have parted with a lot of money that day.

If you're close, do pay a visit

Williamsburg Antique Mall is extremely easy to locate, and save it for a rainy day. Yes, they are selling your grandmother 25cent potato masher for $25.00.

Admission is free, and the prices are excessive; however, in order to entertain my wife on a rainy day, we visited following a great lunch at Le Yaca French Restaurant.

In my view there is too much inexpensive cut glass, and a dearth of fine crystal.

As usual, there are comments like, “Mom or Grandmother had one of these, and gee I could have made a fortune.”

One sales clerk was entertaining another sales clerk with her last night’s story of her “live-in” who stayed out until 1:00PM. The second clerk asked if he had a “girlfriend.” The first clerk responded, “No! Who would want him?” Such is the drama among the Williamsburg commoners.

Most of the shops are gone out of business. Need to open various shops to attract shoppers and to improve business. If a variety of shops were available at this location, tourism would increase as well as revenue.

After ordering our lunch; which cost $40; we were treated to an owners political and personal rant with the conclusion by her that marijuana should be legalized. Inappropriate behavior for some in business. The mall should close her down. Lunch was very upsetting.

We were camping up in Williamsburg for the Labor day weekend. Sat was hot and getting hotter with the usual late summer humidity so we looked for some indoor entertainment. We enjoy looking for treasures so we tried the Williamsburg Antique Mall. We knew from the previous reviews this would take a while and they were right. The place is deceiving from the outside and inside it just keeps going and going and going! We did find some interesting things and saw some craft ideas to take home. We didn't take anything home this time, but maybe next time? There is a Tea Room inside for refreshments and a few benches to take a break on. If you enjoy browsing antiques, this is the place!
