“What a great place!”

First off, Mrs. Johnson is such a sweet hostess. The lovely, colonial home offers several well equipped, clean rooms each with its own bathroom. The furnishings are wonderful, I felt like a princess in the canopied bed. In the morning, she provided us with a cup of freshly brewed coffee. Within 1.5 miles of Colonial Williamsburg and the College of William & Mary, this comfortable & cozy lodging choice is much better than a hotel any day!!!!! For less than $60 a night, you cannot go wrong! Great for couples, singles, vacationing, romantic and especially great for families visiting students at William & Mary.

Room Tip: Either of the private rooms are great! Mrs. Johnson does have a couple of additional rooms for the u...

Had the opportunity to stay in Mrs. Johnson's Guest House in November; she is delightful, a real gem. The house is like "going to your favorite Aunt's home". I can't wait to go to Williamsburg again, and stay with Mrs. Johnson! I would say, "Shhhhhh ~ don't tell anyone about This Charming Guest House experience", but that would be selfish. Anything this delightful is worth sharing. The Guest House of Williamsburg is a lost part of History in the town and Mrs. Johnson's is the historic part of history not to be missed. Thank you Mrs Johnson for making my stay so very special!

It was so wonderful to stay in this lovely Williamsburg home. Mrs. Johnson was such a sweet hostess. The room we stayed in was comfortably furnished with a seating area, fire place, and four poster bed. The highlight of our trip was enjoying coffee each morning with Mrs. Johnson. We felt so at home here. It was hard to leave.

Clean, close to Colonial Williamsburg, close to Restaurants! Fantastic experience. So happy we found Mrs. Johnson. We stayed 3 nights. Only $55 a night, plus tax. No breakfast, but no problem. Mrs Johnson made coffee and had juice for us. We had a short chat each morning and helped us decide how we were going to approach each day. She knows everything about Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. Just a wonderful lady. She does not have internet service but she does have cable tv. Quiet environment. Air conditioning. I would definitely stay there again. Best value in town! We love you Mrs. Johnson.

My best friend and I have been guests of Mrs. Johnson' s for 17 years. We travel to Williamsburg several times a year to shop and sight-see and also to visit with Mrs. Johnson. Her hospitality is immeasurable. Her home is beautiful and very convenient to all area attractions. My favorite part of each visit is having coffee with her in the mornings. We always stay in the twin suite downstairs. When I call her to let her know when we are coming she always says that she will have our room ready. She doesn't have to ask which one we want.Mrs. Johnson has become a friend and we treasure this friendship.

With only a photo on the internet website, I made reservations for two rooms for three adults at Johnson's Guest House. Upon arrival I was astonished how nice everything was. The price is unbelievable: about $45 to $50 per room per night. These are rooms large enough to hold a queen-size four-poster canopy bed, two wingback chairs, a full couch, a huge dresser, and an enormous en suite bathroom. Everything is new and spotless. This is not a bed and breakfast, but Mrs. Johnson made space in her refrigerator for our own orange juice and milk, and she set the table every morning of our three-night stay so we could eat the cereal we brought along. She is a delightful lady, full of information and good cheer. I would never stay anywhere else in Williamsburg. When you reserve, Mrs. Johnson will send you directions.
