My family and I just stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. I was very pleased with the size of the rooms. We had the double king beds with pull out sofa-bed, fridge, and microwave which is a must when traveling with a family. This hotel was very well organized. Housekeeping was always helpful. The air-conditioniners were brand new and would keep it very cool. The pool area was wonderful, the water was sparkling clean and clear.
We did have a couple of complaints and this only concerns people who want to utilize the game room, it was HOT!!! And NO air-conditioning where you went to eat breakfest, yikes who wants to sweat at 8:00 in the morning. I cannot understand why such a fine hotel would not cool the gameroom or the breakfest area, this made it so miserable. You are better off to eat and run, or grab your bowl of cereal rip off the top add milk and take it back to your room. One other complaint, for those who don't like noise, the walls are very thin, we had a family with a baby on one side who cried all night and we had to choose between freezing with the air-conditioner to drown out the noise or listen all night to a baby crying. They are very pet friendly which we loved, because our Yorkie goes everywhere with us. This is a big problem for most hotel chains, and I am sure they have there reasons, but this is one pet owner who takes pride in her animal, and he is potty trained and did not cause an ounce of trouble while we stayed. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We paid $109.00 a night and thought it was one of the nicer hotels in Williamsburg. I don't think a double room would have did what the King Suite did for us though. Be mindful of this when traveling with kids, I know me and my husband would fall out of a double bed trying to sleep together. Plenty of channels on the t.v. also. There is a MacDonalds on the parking lot which is great for kids. This is a great family hotel, Just be mindful of the no air-conditioning in the rooms mentioned above. The kids wont mind, but the parents will be miserable burning up while the kids are playing games. Don't plan on staying here for the free breakfest and the game room, you will be disapointed. But the kings suite is nice and big and the staff is so friendly, and the pool is perfect!!! Well worth the money!!!
