Don't go for the pizza. Despite it being a "New York" pizzeria, it is NOT. As someone who was born and raised in New York, I feel it is a crime to compare CJ's pizza to a real slice of NY pie. They brag that they use white cheddar, any New Yorker knows the only WHITE cheese that belongs on a pizza is mozzarella. But that is enough of that. Once you get past the wrong (not bad, wrong) pizza, this place is wonderful. Get a pitcher of sweet tea and embrace the southern style of this restaurant. The sandwiches are delicious, my personal favorite is the chicken, bacon, ranch sub, topped with a bit of their famous ranch dressing. My husband and I ALWAYS order the cheese fries, as the white cheddar they boast about, is quite delicious on top with bacon! The prices are decent for the food that you get. You can certainly wait awhile here, but it is everyone's favorite spot to eat. Even if the dining room is empty, you can expect the door to open and close repeatedly for lunch to go orders. I truly love this place and will miss it when my husband and I move soon. I can only hope locals will bring us a gallon of sweet tea and a pint of ranch when they visit us!
