“Standard fare”
Reviewed 9 April 2012

I'm not a huge sandwich fan and this place was pretty standard. Tried the pepper soup, reuban sandwich and tuna melt and all were average - not fantastic. The best thing about this place is the back patio - excellent to enjoy a sunny spring day.

“Great sandwiches, soup and 'salads'. Reasonably priced and fast.”
Reviewed 5 December 2011

Fork and Spoon has a pretty great menu. There is a small selection of sandwiches that includes things like an open faced tuna melt, a bacon veggie, a meatloaf, and a real vegetarian sandwich with hummus. Their soups are made by the same genius that makes the blackbird bakery soups, but here they are with meat. The salads are things like polenta with roasted root vegetables, yummy mixes with lentils, and regular old salads with a twist. In a nutshell, their menu has a good selection of carefully chosen offerings that seem both delicious and relatively healthy. They used to serve breakfast, and may do so again in the summer, but for now they are a lunch and dinner place. They are open later than most of the rest of Winslow and have music later in the evening on Thursday and Friday. There are also a few dessert items from Blackbird.
I especially like this place because you can call ahead from the ferry and get things to go, or you can eat it in their comfortable dining room. It's very informal but with a nice ambiance, even if they have the loudest chairs in North America. (Their wooden legs are SUPER loud on the concrete floors). They are located behind Blackbird bakery, right after the yarn and tea store. I eat there pretty much every Thursday, and here and there with friends too. It's a Bainbridge staple.

“Great Place for Lunch”
Reviewed 9 November 2011

A great place for lunch while exploring the Island. Menu consists mainly of home-made soup, salads, and sandwiches and a wide variety of beers and wine! All very good and reasonably priced. Located in a mall area so first timers will have to find on foot and not rely on GPS. And be prepared to bus your own table when finished, but will be a repeat visit.

“Affliated with Blackbird Bakery!”
Reviewed 5 August 2011

My husband and I stopped in for a sandwich because someone told us this place was affliated with Blackbird Bakery. We split a meatloaf sandwich and it was really good, especially the bread.
