“How I wish”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014 via mobile

It was better....great location. Fish and chips pretty bland. Mussels and clams a bit under cooked and the clams were too big. My seafood Louis salad...I hate to say it but not sure the crab was fresh. Stick with drinks here. Honestly I'd go to the pub up the road but I can't rKey kids

“Food good, but...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014 via mobile

I've recently dined at both Doc's locations. While the food was reasonably good, the service -- from the people who seat you to the people who serve you -- has gotten sloppy. Wait staff that makes you wait to make an order, and then doesn't check on you after your order arrives (which takes awhile, by the way). Seating that seems to be for the efficiency of the servers, and not for the comfort of the customers. Rudeness masked as efficiency. We suspect this may be a summer phenomenon; perhaps they have lots of seasonal employees that have gotten lazy and even cynical as the summer has progressed. Both locations are nicely situated by a marina, but you can't eat the view.

“Food and view great”

The food and view were great. Service was slow but the wait staff was pleasant. The view made the service not seem so bad. If you go plan to spend some time.

“Memorable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014

My husband was in a conference in Seattle...we wanted to get out and see a bit of the city and eat a nice dinner. We took the Washington ferry over to the island. Great boat ride...serves beer/wine and a variety of snack foods. Got off the ferry and walked to what was basically the only thing left open at 6pm on a weekday to eat...Doc's. Took about 10 - 15 minutes. Cannot get lost, pretty easy to find. The restaurant was on the water with a beautiful view. We sat in the "outdoor" covered area to look at the water and sailboats. We ordered fish dinners and had some local wine. Fantastic. Nothing fancy about the restaurant but good food, good people and great views of the harbor. No wait, got seated immediately. Casual clothes. Definitely worth the $8 ferry ride and to see a little more of the surrounding area.
