“Nice place for a Sunday morning nature walk”
Reviewed 27 August 2014

The Bellevue botanical garden has been recently renovated. The trails are less than a mile long and are nicely landscaped. For the more serious runners, the lake to lake trail is close by.

“Best botanical garden in Washington State”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

The Bellevue Botanical Garden is a lovely place to go, and is probably the best of its kind in Washington state. That said, go north to Vancouver for the very best in the area. Bellevue has improved its garden and expanded enormously over the past several years. Much of the attraction is in the nearby forest. The perennial garden is glorious if you can catch it at the height of its bloom in the summer. The Japanese garden is only so-so, but now that the foliage has matured, is substantially better than it has been. The price is definitely right: it's free and with the improvements made recently, there is more parking. A nice outing on a sunny day.

“We were delighted to visit this garden”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

Our Host in Seattle said, let's visit gardens. Off we went to this Botanical Garden and enjoyed every step of the way from the new building to the many separate garden areas including the beautiful suspension bridge over the sunken river. The flowers were lovely, the walkways attractive and with a sunny day, our experience there was marvelous. We left feeling very good!

“Exceptional jewel right in our backyard”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Extraordinary location for inspiration and a renewed spirit. Knew of the gardens, but had never really spent time there until a spontaneous visit on Mothers Day. The charm and the delicate details were wonderful. Can wait to go back AFTER the current round of construction is complete.

“Quite, Serene and Beautifully Maintained Garden”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

A wonderful relaxing place to visit while in Bellevue. Places to sit, talk, take pictures as you and a few friends, family or lover walk and take in the amazing plant life of the Pacific Northwest. Always something is blooming. Colors and greenery surround you as you make your way into the fenced Japanese inspired garden or deep into the tree lined woods to the ravine bridge. Water ways sooth away stresses and give you a sense of peace and tranquility. In the late fall and early winter season a festival called "Garden De'lights" comes to the garden where the magic of flowers and creatures made of lights fill the garden. This event has a moderate cost but otherwise by day the garden is accessible for free all year around.
