“A great hotel in a great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2014

Overall, a great hotel in a great location, but I must say their hotel lobby was sort of weak for Westin standards.

I stayed there for a company conference.

I don't remember eating there. I do remember that the hotel staff wasn't very appealing. I mean, they weren't rude or anything but they were not going the extra step to say hello or anything

I will stay here again if I had a chance

Thank you for staying with us for your company conference. We are pleased you found the location of our hotel convenient; on the other hand, we are perplexed you did not experience the personal and instinctive service we are known for. We apologize if that was not your experience and hope and expect we will be able to exceed your expectations on your next visit.

We stayed here for two nights during the April long weekend in Seattle on the shopping package. We usually stay in the Bellevue area and this is the first hotel I look at. Unfortunately prices have increased a bit. The hotel is still nice and clean which is very important to my family.

We are delighted to hear that you took advantage of one of our many package offerings designed especially for you. Our shopping package is a great deal and includes a $100 gift certificate to be used anywhere within The Bellevue Collection. Your compliments for the cleanliness of our hotel are very much appreciated as that is very important to us as well.

We will look forward to welcoming you back again through our doors at The Westin Bellevue.

We stayed here for a wedding in the area. This is a great location with numerous phenomenal dining options just a walk away. I inquired about the age of the hotel since it seemed so new. "9 years" they said which surprised me. We had excellent house keepers and the overall facility and service was a very high end 4 star experience. However when you count value for price paid its a 5 star experience. If you like Chinese food try Din Tai Fung nearby. If you like wine bars try purple cafe. They are both walkable. I want to thank Michael Dove who checked us in as well. There was some small snafu with the large group checkin but they seemed to rectify it the next day. Overall we had such a positive experience with the hotel, location, and the Belleview area that this 4 day stay felt like a true getaway. Hint: you can park your car yourself and save a bit on weekends rather than pay the hotel. They are very cooperative regardless. The housekeepers were great to the kids in our group. Another hint: there is a safeway grocery that is also walkable from the hotel. Thanks again Westin.

Upon seeing the building and entering I thought wow, this place should be glamorous. The good, the bad, and the ugly.....

The building is shared by the hotel and private residences. ON weekdays, it's pretty much mandatory valet parking $30 bucks. Ok. Came back on a weekend free self park which actually is very convenient. You come out the lobby and take another elevator do the garage. Extra 1 minute of effort not really worth $30 bucks. the hotel lobby is nice, but a bit small. Not really a good area to talk or mingle, you need to go to the restaurant. The rooms were nice, elevators super fast, there is a theme of using alot of mirrors in this place. Bathrooms had plenty of water pressure and the rain showerheads + handheld, I liked that. Beds great. As mentioned by others, there is construction going on and that is noisy. What's really nice is the location. It's virtually connected to Bellevue Square mall, tons of shops and dining. Location location location! Can't be beat.

The bad: for a swanky place the gym/pool/sauna should be top notch right? Not really. The pool is located on the 4th floor and is just a lap pool 4 ft deep. It was pretty cold too. There is also a whirlpool next to it which was ok. I'm wondering why isn't there an attendant regularly picking up towels and tidying up. I was there for 2hrs and no one even came into do anything. Also the layout of the adjoining locker rooms was terrible. You enter the pool thru the main door (come out the elevator and make a left) but then say you need to use the bathroom, there is another set of doors to exit the pool area (so now you are completely outside the pool area, and you need to walk back in thru the main door, in the mean time dripping water everywhere on slippery tile. Who designed this place? The "locker room" has a wall of lockers with no key locks, so just open cabinets (why would anyone put anything in an open cabinet?) and there is one toilet and one shower. This is a locker room???? This type of facility should have a spa with robes, a resting room, several showers, a steam and sauna room AT LEAST? totally disappointed.

Now the absolute worst part. Friday nights there is live music in the lobby restaurant which is fine. So just looking for a quiet place to do a little work, what do i find? the business center right? WRONG. The business center is literally a closet on the 3rd floor with 1 printer, 1 not really working pc, and another spot with a big mess of wires, a mouse and keyboard, and the room was a mess. this is a room without windows that's maybe 5 x 10. Fine, I can deal with all that. But there is no guest room wifi signal in there. Front desk tells me sorry , no wifi available in the business center. Huh? Didn't even know how to respond to that.

Location great, rooms good, other amenities, what happened? Staff was friendly.

Room Tip: Probably don't stay on the side facing construction

Only stayed couple of days and unfortunately did not have a great view but room was large and comfortable and the hotel gym and pools are among the best I have visited, it was a huge gym rather than an afterthought and apparently they can lend you training kit, which I did not know as a UK visitor and they do not advertise it on the site so I think they should. Nice service at breakfast, good also to be across from the mall to do some shopping.

This is the 2nd straight year that we have visited Bellevue on our way back to Vancouver, BC. My family love the Westin because a) it's next to Bellevue Mall b) restaurants are within walking distance and c) great swimming pool. Another major factor if you have a car is the parking spots are BIG!

We had a great experience last year - starting with Bellhop helping with our luggage and fast check in process and therefore, gave the hotel an excellent rating. However, this year, we found that they were not very careful with our personal belongings, specifically my golf clubs. This was a mini golf vacation and I would not have enjoyed it without my own clubs. I don't have to go into a lot of details but suffice to say that I had to check them to ensure that the shafts were not bent. Fortunately, everything was ok and all was forgotten after a great round at Newcastle Golf Course.

With the exception of the above which can be easily resolved with more detail to attention, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who loves the convenience of a shopping center and restaurants right next to you. If you have kids, they would love the swimming pool and hot tub. I would stay there again but would carry my own golf bag to the room.
