Now known as Countryside Café but easy to find. It's on the corner with plenty of parking. Dined on a weekend morning and were happily stuffed with great breakfast offerings when we left this crowded café. Just a short counter and booths line this cozy friendly place. No room to wait inside but they put up a nice red canvas tent to keep the rain off until we were seated. Service was OK considering they were packed full. Hubby got a salmon scramble and said it was very good. I got a veggie omelet with fruit and a humongous biscuit and everything was delicious. I took home over half of my breakfast but not the biscuit...I stuffed that yummy thing down even after I was knew I was full, no regrets. Will return next time we are in town.

There's a bit of confusion with this place: it has the right address as shown above, but it's actually called the Countryside Café. Maybe Germaine's moved elsewhere, and this place changed hands? Hopefully this can be cleared up by TA.

Anyway, we drove through town looking for a likely breakfast spot, and this place just looked right to us. We grabbed a parking spot, settled into a booth, and the place filled up right after us. Great menu with lots of choices, especially in omelets and scrambles. I love that you can have your omelet stuffed (as is traditional), or dumped on the place with the eggs on top. I had a California omelet, bacon and green onions and tomatoes, topped with guacamole and sour cream. (I may be forgetting some ingredients; sorry). That's lots of bacon, lots of tomatoes, lots of green onions... no skimping on quantity, just because there are several ingredients. (Hate it when restaurants do that.) My hashbrown potatoes were cooked and crispy on both sides, just the way I like them. And the coffee was tasty and fresh. We will definitely be back.

I think the name of this place should be listed as the Countryside Cafe (it appears that Germaine's used to be located here, but has since gone out of business to be replaced by the Countryside Cafe). In any case we had a great breakfast here. This is a small and cozy old time cafe. The omelettes are large with generous fillings. The hash browns were crispy just the way I like them and the homemade biscuits were very good (especially with honey :). Service was excellent. We plan to return soon.
