“Great park and no crowds”
Reviewed 17 December 2011

Like this park because it is on the Sound, has no crowds, and is spacious. Beautiful place to visit on a sunny winter day.

“Ok hiking”
Reviewed 21 November 2011

The trails were well maintained with really good views, but the trail markings were extremely confusing. It's very easy to get lost even with every trail split being marked. We went outside of clamming season as well, so can't speak to that experience. If you're a clammer, please disregard this review as it seems to be a popular activity there.

“Stately firs and clean air abundant”
Reviewed 30 December 2009

This is my favorite state park, and I've been to many. The trails are fantastic for hiking and observing bald eagles. Vegetation and trees make a lovely scene and it's a great place to bring your dog on a walk (leashed). The park staff is friendly and helpful. Last time we visited we stayed in one of the cabins which was nice, but not too over the top.
