“Seafood chowder”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

Went for lunch after zip lining just down the street. Friendly servers, yummy bloody mary and great seafood chowder-full of salmon and crab and potatoes. A cozy spot.

“Not for those looking for truly great food or even uniformly edible food.”
Reviewed 27 September 2013

The menu is fairly basic and includes many items you can find in any restaurant. Nearly nothing in the way of vegetables, however, making it difficult for a dieter or non-meat eater to make a selection. The beer selection, however, is pretty good and they feature two Washington wines. What earned this establishment a two is that the food we ordered was all tremendously salty and the kitchen did not honor a request for dressing on the side. In fact, it was pretty obvious that the caesar salad had been dressed en masse, long before it was ordered. The calzone was inedible and when this was brought to the attention of the wait staff, excuses were made. Problem is that there are not a lot of restaurant choices on the island, which may explain why this place is apparently still doing pretty well.

“Exellent Breakfest and Happy Hour”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

We enjoyed the food so much at breakfast that we came back to watch the UW game during happy hour. The food is delicious and the service was top notch! Try the prime rib hash at breakfast or the happy hour pizza--excellent quality and portion sizes. We will be back!

“great views and fun experience. did I mention they brew their own beer?”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

good restaurant here on the island. they have a very diverse menu with some twists that are fun. i.e. the peanut butter burger. it's yummy if you like sirracha. fish n chips is good. the kids menu is essentially a smaller adult portion but still both kids loved each item. they offer several dishes that you cook yourself over a salt stone, which is kind of cool. their beers are top notch. I am going to buy a growler or two so I can start taking them home as I drive by! If the weather is good, sit outside, great views of the lake next door. the parking lot is not very big so if it's packed, don't worry, there is usually seating available.

“A Hidden Diamond Among the Rough”
Reviewed 30 August 2013 via mobile

What a pleasant treat it has been to find The Diamond Knot nestled on Camano Island in the Camano/Stanwood area. We have had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast there three times, and it has been consistently delightful.

The menu had the usual breakfast fare with some wonderful twists, such as "chicken fried...meatloaf", which my husband enjoyed.

From the warm aroma of the first cup of coffee, to the last wonderful bite, everything was delicious. I liked the strawberry waffle made with fresh strawberries and topped with whipped cream--served hot with just the right crispness and delicious from the first bite to the last. The ginger pancakes had a perfectly complementary ginger flavor--not overpowering. Served with whipped cream, they are a treat.

The thick applewood bacon was the best, cooked just right--not too sweet or too salty, and the hash browns were lightly browned and crispy as well. The omelets had plenty of variety and flavor.

The service was prompt, warm, and friendly. The atmosphere welcoming and clean.

We have not had the opportunity to try this special place for dinner, but we plan to do so soon.
