Without going into every detail and understanding that some people can have a bad night. This was an awful failure in service. I would not expect this place to make it much longer with current ownership unless major changes take place.

We needed a quick bite before a movie at the Liberty Theater. A friendly waitress invited us in while we studied the menu out front. Service was outstanding, though it was strange to see wait staff wearing flip flops.

The restaurant is lovely with a great collection of wine bottles dotting the back wall. It is a surprising ambiance because from the street it is very hard to tell what it looks like inside due to tinted windows. Also, the signage on the front of the storefront says "catering and cooking classes," so although this restaurant has been open for a good number of years, it has always been a little unclear to us what it is exactly. There is indeed, a restaurant inside as well!

We enjoyed the special of the day, which was flank steak with fresh vegetables. The chicken with prosciutto was so-so. We tried two wines by the glass, one of which was excellent, but the other paled in comparison.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even when a young family of five tumbled in, sat down, looked at their menus, and then headed for the door. It is a great place for couples or adult dinner parties--not so great for the kid set.

We'd like to try it again for happy hour. They have a frequent customer card that we signed up for, and have already earned a free dessert after only one meal.

We rented out the restaurant for a private "cooking school" birthday party and were not pleased at all. First of all, one of the members of the party had an egg allergy and owner insisted on cooking her salmon filet on the same plank as others that had an egg sauce. She insisted no juices would touch. She then made a snide remark about people with food allergies that was offensive to everyone that heard. Wouldn't it be easier to just respect the seriousness of allergies? Second, we ran out of wine and water on numerous occasions and had to practically beg for refills. Next, she was constantly complaining about how hard her life was and how much she wanted to sell the place and get out of the business. Lastly, the helpers (her son and his girlfriend) were unprofessional and clueless how to wait properly. If you want a special evening for you and your loved ones, SKIP this place.

This was the second year we had K'Syrah cater my company's christmans party. The food is always super good but the set up seems to run a little short of when we prefer them to be done. LOVE the food though!!!

The good: Love the location in downtown Camas and there is a nice ambiance. The salmon was done nicely and was very flavorful. It seemed freshly cooked.

The bad: The special was beef medallions in gorgonzola sauce. We ordered medium rare. When it came, it was very well done and a very unappealing grey color with not a touch of pink to be seen. The "medallions" were diced up beef tips. As you can see the cooking process in the open kitchen, we looked to see how this might have been prepared, and it appeared that perhaps the beef was pre-cooked, being pulled out of a foil wrapper prior to being served.

Live music was nice, but a bit too loud. Conversation could not be heard.
