On your way up or down the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge there are a few good eateries but this is the only one we found in the Carson area that offers anything worth going back for. It can be found just north of town, up an embankment on the left side of the road and has ample parking, although we've never encountered even a half-full parking lot. You might be put off by the game room when you first walk in, but continue on through and you'll get to the dining room. The place is cavernous and rather dark, so, it's not much on atmosphere unless you like looking at old timbers in an extremely high ceiling. if the weather is good, we always try to eat on the patio. The seating out there is limited but I believe they are expanding it. The food and service are outstanding if you like things a bit on the standard side, but done in a manner that suggests a bit of creativity care and a good dose of love went into the preparation.
Breakfast is especially good, and the omelets and scrambles are enormous, served with tasty potatoes (skip the hash browns) and a variety of breads to choose from. For dinner I suggest the Mexican inspired dishes, but expect some spice and heat. All in all, we have never had anything at this restaurant that we wouldn't order again and the friendly service has always been top notch..
