“Interesting boat ride”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

Great scenery. Relaxing. Glad we took the express both ways.
Any longer would not have been good. On hot days sit below where it is much cooler and more comfortable.

“Great on the water experience and narration”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We took the express as the day was forecast for 100+ and there were a couple of big fires burning in the mountains. Called and purchased tickets over the phone. Great parking lot, short walk and we were boarding in short time. We went upstairs to catch some rays and some wind and weren't disappointed. Only negative were the folding chairs upstairs. Padded seats but not enough for a long ride. We got to learn lots about the geography, the geology and the people of the lake. Many people who live on the lake have no roads in or out and so these boats are their mail delivery, their grocery delivery and their main contact with town. The stop at Stehekin was nice. Lots of shade, nice general store and café. We brought our lunch with us and felt welcome to eat in the shade up there. It was about 2 1/2 hours up and the same back with an hour lunch stop. Nice, clean easy to flush heads on the boat. Got a bit warm in the afternoon up top, so we went inside and found the cushy chairs and the big door on the front of the boat open and lots of fresh air moving through the space. A little snack bar on the boat rounded things out and we were right back on time. The slow boat has a three hour stop at Stehekin, so folks can take tours or hike up to a bakery that sounded interesting. Fun day and we slept well that night.

“Take the Express”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

I took both the regular ferry and the express to Stehekin. The express was worth the extra money. On the way back it was really hot. I boarded the boat, then asked the crew if I could run up to the store and get a margarita as we had 5 minutes til departure. When I reboarded and sat down this total jerk of a crew member made a BIT STINK about the margarita. I get that it wasn't OK to have it but it could have been handled much better. It was embarrassing and ruined my return trip.

“Nice Boat Excursion”
Reviewed 9 July 2014 via mobile

There are two boats, one slow that makes more stops and one faster. The destination is Stehekin at the upper end of the 55 mile long lake. We opted for the faster trip and it was a thoroughly enjoyable way to see Lake Chelan and it's surrounding countryside. There is comfortable seating and plenty of photo opportunities. The skipper offers interesting commentary along the way. There is a one hour turnaround time for the return trip, and travelers have the option of taking the slower boat back later or taking a float plane.

“Interesting scenery.”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

The Lady of the Lake has more room but you will see the same scenery in half the time by taking the Lady Express. We went up on the Lady of the Lake II and back down on the Lady Express and we enjoyed the shorter trip much more.
