The Chelan Ridge Raptor Migration project is an effort to observe, count and band birds migrating during late summer and fall. It is a great place to go if you want to observe raptors up close as the project member band them.
You have to drive many miles on forest roads to get there, and the last 3.5 miles are on a very bumpy and narrow road, so be prepared for that.
You can get more information at the Winthrop visitor center before you head out here.
