We stopped here for lunch. Normally we like to find a local spot when traveling vs a big chain restaurant but this wasn't great and quite overpriced.
We sat ourselves and the table was clean and the waitress got to us right away but it was kind of dark and gloomy inside. There is a patio which may have been a better choice but they were all full. The restaurant was full by the time we left actually.

Our waitress was ok, not very cheerful and didnt check on us. The food just ok. Definitely not worth the price but came to us quickly. Shared a club sandwich which was small for a club. It was $11.50 and then another $1.50 or maybe $2 more for fries. My soda, flat and $2.25. The ketchup tasted gross. And there were a few flies that just wouldn't go away.

I wasn't impressed and probably wouldnt go back unless I was staying in town to climb.

Thank Christy E

Had brunch here before leaving Cougar. I had the bacon cheese burger and hubby had the French dip! Very good!

This was a holiday weekend and this little town doesn't have many choices as we were driving to the attractions. Interesting mix of tourist and locals- must be an interesting place to live

Ordered the nachos - Um.... first layer is like Cheez Whiz and topped with grated cheddar cheese that wasn't even melted. The service was great, but the food was not. Typical bar food fare.

We arrived just before dinner time and the place was empty. We had a chance to speak to the waitress for a bit and she was very friendly, greeting us as she told us to have our pick of tables. There were three of us in our party and we all ordered onion rings and different burgers.
Since we were climbing Mount St Helens the next morning and going to live on snack bars the next day we decide to have a nice big meal. Within 15 minutes the place filled up with locals, tourists and other climbers. I Ithink we would have stayed here longer if they had a pool table and maybe darts, but it was really nice place.
