This is a well done interpretive center that does a fantastic job providing history of how the great floods carved out a large swath of the state. The views from the center are fantastic and there's even a small bistro outside that provides limited food and beverages. Definitely worth the stop to educate yourself and take a break from driving.

Water mixed with sediments can alter and carve out amazing wonders around the world. This is one of them.

Dry Falls is worth a stop, especially at the Information center which tells the story of this amazing site. Very awe-inspiring story. View is beautiful and if you want to fish, there is a turn-off to Dry Lake in the Sun Lakes State Park.

This place is a real eye-opener to some spectacular geologic history. Great views, a nice visitor center, and a really good food stand. In its day at the end of the last ice age, it would have completely dwarfed Niagara Falls.

We stopped by Dry Falls in eastern Washington in June 2013. Breath taking views and a very interesting place to see. The info center offers a short movie and also has several nice displays telling about the great flood that happened so many years ago and resulted in the falls that are now dry. Well worth the time, enjoyed it very much. There's even a walk up eatery there that had great food. A bit pricey but worth it. Be sure to drive down to the bottom of the falls to see the view from there too. There is a fee to enter the lower area. We were there on a"free" day though, so not sure how much the fee is. You can get a Discover Pass for $30.00 per year which covers parking/use fees in Washington state parks.
