The Serenity Inn is a beautiful home, lovingly and thoughtfully put together by Jaye who welcomed us with incredible warmth even though we were there for just a quick one night stop-over (and arrived two hours later than we said we would).
It’s located about a half hour drive north of Spokane in the wonderfully peaceful location of Deer Park with far reaching views to the mountains - close enough to the city to go shopping or for dinner and a movie, but nicely out of the stress and in the countryside. Deer Park itself has a small village center with a handful of shops and restaurants.
Jaye has decorated the rooms with such an eye for detail, furnishing them with high quality furniture and linens. You can see in a second how much care has gone into selecting every element.
As well as our own lovely en suite room, we had full access to the beautiful guest lounge, kitchen and wonderful rec room with TV, DVDs (hundreds of them!!) and excellent pool table.
There is also a hot tub which, unfortunately, we didn’t have time to sample.
The next morning we were greeted by a delicious home made breakfast – Jaye really is quite the chef and will also prepare picnics, dinners, and afternoon high teas.
We are so incredibly glad that we chose to stay at The Serenity Inn, rather than at one of the faceless hotels in Spokane – it is so much more personal, homely, and cleaner than any of them could ever be and the location is so much more beautiful than the urban sprawl.
Our advice would be not to stay in downtown Spokane – stay at the Serenity Inn and enjoy the peace and quite instead, but with the city on your doorstep (if you need it).
