Birthday celebration with friends. Very quiet for a Thursday night. We practically had the place to ourselves. Hadn't been back here in several years (and was so so about it then, other than their award winning pies.) Am so glad we chose DC for dinner. Although the decor is somewhat tired, the service is good and the food was delicious. When the birthday girl chose Rhubarb pie for the 4 of us to share, off the menu, our waitress thought their might be one piece left or none at all. She was gone quite a while and came back with 4 thin slices of apple crisp with cream on them. She said there was no Rhubarb but thought we might like these as they were already cut and they don't normally sell them like that. So she gave them to us on the house. Very nice!

We were group of 10 people who visited this place for our lunch/meeting. Food was cooked to perfection, They are so accomodating, very friendly and lastly I would say this is the place where you would like to go with your family, friends or just by yourself. By the way Pies are still baked by Mary Ann like always

To all who have been to Des moines creek resturant when THE GRANTS owned it, before 2004 knows what good hospitlity, cleanliness, and curtousey is. and most of all, good food. The Grants treated everyone like family, including the guests. Long time customers would remember Bill Grant as a kind and friendly face who was always around.

i am absolutly disgusted that these people came in and RUINED a family made land mark and turned it into a unfriendly, disgusting hole in the wall. im throughly appauald that they would even still use the marys pies. seeing as marys pies are no longer made by mary,

i surly hope that they read this and improve, or sell it to someone else who wants to keep it the way it was ment to be, and who would take pride in owning such a great establisment (well, it was when i knew it atleast). im sad to know that most of des moines doesnt care for des moines creek resutrant anymore.

so, everyone stay away till you hear its under new managment!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our group of 12 recently had a Christmas party/ dinner here. We could only choose from a very limited menu of four entrees (chosen ahead of time.)

The food was mediocre at best, except for the chicken pasta dish which was pronounced delicious. The salads were blah, the dinners were overpriced, and worst of all, the waitress was SURLY AND RUDE.

The last restaurant we had for our Christmas party had the banquet room beautifully decorated and Christmas carols piped in. This banquet room had not one single decoration nor any music, certainly not a bit festive. A little extra effort goes a long way. We will never have our groups' dinner party there again. This restaurant used to be much, much better---the new owners have ruined if.

As long time regulars of Des Moines Creek, It is sad for me to say that it is no longer a nice place to eat, nor to bring my fellow office employees for a lunch meeting, or executive dinner. We used to enjoy the food and the atmosphere but in the last 8 months our exsperiance has gone from wonderfull to frightening! We were served half cooked salmon, and when we complained we were treated as if all they wanted us to do was hurry and leave! The atmosphere is dingy and to be honest the last time we went in we left before we were ever served our meal, the place was a mess and our coffee cups were dirty and our wine glass had lipstick on it! Our salad came out brown and wilted and the cucumber garnish was slimey! Then I decided to go online and look for another place to take my employees out for lunch, I ran across some other user reviews about this restaurant. To my asstonishment I seen a link about thier recent King County Health Inspection, and after reading it, I was sick to my stomache! You should read this link before you ever think about eating there for the first time or ever again for all you regulars like we used to be

I honestly hope that everyone who reads this takes it verry seriously with all of the violations they are going to eventually make someone very ill, or worse!
