Description: The Valley Cafe is known as one of the best restaurants in Ellensburg! This business has been continuously operated since 1930 and still retains the original Art Deco decor from its 1938 remodel. This is a farm to fork restaurant using local ingredients for a more flavorful experience. The business also features a separate juice/coffee bar that serves sandwiches, soups and salads which is adjacent to the restaurant and located within the same building.

I had an excellent turkey and cheese melt of some kind with a fine sharp swiss or maybe like swiss and it was Very good. There was enough
for 2 people for sure and they dont mind if you share. The salad was very fresh too. The total bill
was about 17 so sharing is good for students and such.Ellensburg is Not cheap...it was when I used to work near there 20 years ago. This place is very good. And coffee was good too.

Thank jon b

Poppyseed cake is special. Nice food. The restaurant is retro style. The salads are special. The service has usually been good. Friendly wait staff. We have eaten lunch and dinners a number of times at this establishment when we are in Ellensburg.

Love this place. All the sauces are homemade, the food Is cooked to order, and the menu has a great variety. They are historical and also just added a happy hour. I love that the owner has monthly features wineries.

Highly recommend!!!!!!

Possibly the nicest restaurant in Ellensburg. The menu is creative and focused, and the art deco theme carries through well. It's an older building, but clean and inviting.
Two things really make The Valley stand out. For one, they have good chefs- not something you imagine in a small town. My favorite menu item is the crab, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado salad. I had that last week when we went there. The other thing is that each month they feature a different winery, and I have had the opportunity to sample wines from several Washington state vineyards, including Waterbrook and Walla Walla Vintners. There is a take-out menu for wines as well.
Remember that this is not an inexpensive venue. You get what you pay for.
