“Always a fun place to eat”
Reviewed 17 November 2013

The food is consistent, filling and delicious. I have had just about everything on the menu and liked it all. The last trip was the turkey dinner. Yum! Had plenty to take home. Service is good, décor fun to take in while waiting for your meal and a good price too.

“Comfort food at it's best!”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

The Krain Corner Restaurant has been at this location for a long time. Since we used to live in the area, we looked forward to seeing whether there were significant changes and it was pretty much as it's always been. The food was as good as ever, the prices haven't changed much, and the portions are large. It is a conglomeration of collectibles as far as esthetic decorations and there is a visitor log to sign, if you are so inclined. Their menu is extensive with down-home type of food. Their corned beef is very popular, and if you go right after the weekend, you probably won't be able to get corned beef hash Monday morning as they will be sold our. Their jams are also homemade-yum! This restaurant is just out of town on 400th St and Hwy 169 to Black Diamond. There is plenty of parking, and the patrons are mostly local, as are the waitresses, so it has a very friendly atmosphere.

“Bacon at it's finest”
Reviewed 13 September 2013

The Bacon here is beyond description, whether it's with eggs for breakfast or a BLT for lunch. Love their breakfast and is one of the best places around to dine. Have made it one of my top places for breakfast in the area.

“Chicken Fried to Die For!”
Reviewed 23 May 2013

If you are looking for a big, crispy, meaty Chicken Fried Steak with cream gravy hot off the stove, a pile of sizzling country fried potatoes and eggs over easy, Krain's Corner in Enumclaw is the place you should be. Don't judge this stalwart of the Plateau by it's exterior, inside it is friendly, homey and has cooks who know their way around a big plate of food.
Besides the classic cowboy breakfast, Krain's will feed you a stack of pancakes you gotta be hungry to eat. Cakes cover the plate (mind you don't wind up with a lapful of syrup if you're not careful!) and your waitress will almost always ask if you are SURE you want four, because they are huge. Order a side of bacon and get a plate full of thick, meaty cuts - don't be shy about asking for a doggy bag, these strips make killer BLTs.
The Corned-beef Hash really is made in house and, get this, really tastes like corned beef! Fried up with savory onions and those big chunk cottage fries, toss on a few poached eggs, ah, heaven!
In all the years I have been eating at Krain's Corner, the only gripe I have ever had is the bathroom. Plumbed in another century, the stalls in the Ladies are bright and cheery, but the stools were made when women were four feet tall. They need newer, taller toilets and at least one stall with handicapped access. When heading for Krain's, we usually stop at the very handy Public Restroom in nearby Enumclaw, situated in the public parking lot next to Cole's Antique Mall.
