Review of Howarth Park

Howarth Park
Ranked #6 of 37 things to do in Everett

The view of the mountains is amazing! Also part of it is a dog beach, so it's great if you have pets. Only thing is that is gets a bit crowded during the summer because it's one of the only beaches in the Everett area. :) Also, in the summer, it's hard to find parking some times too because it gets so full. There are two or three parking lots, so check them all before you give up. :)

Lovely three-tiered park. Top tier is a grassy overlook with views of the water and all the ships going in and out of the Port of Everett; middle tier is a beautiful short (but steep in places) hike through a gulch full of trees and a stream; last and lowest tier is a beach on the other side of the railroad tracks. The top area is perfect for a picnic, but it does get a bit windy closer to the overlook, so just be aware!

A great view of the Navy ships leaving port. The bathrooms at the park are horrible, and without doors. Garbage was strewn around the park. But cant beat that view!!

The park has limited parking and access to the beach, love the beach the only draw back is if you need to use the bathroom, it's a long hike or use the closest tree.

This is such a beautiful park, my daughter-in-law had all of her outdoor shots done there for her Senior Pictures. The trails go over streams, up staircases, through woods, across the railroad tracks, and a spiral staircase with picnic table areas interspersed in between floors. Fantastic views and a nice beach.
