Property was wonderful! Be cautious of the fact that you are on a river, it's not deep and there is not an easy access to the river from the lodge unless you walk down the road to the public fishing area and can access river there. The lodge sits above the river with beautiful views. There are many fisherman on the river starting at 5:00am!! Sorry I'm on vacation and the fact that your fishing by a resort and running your motor at 5:00am is a major negative in my book!!! Grounds beautiful! Service overall excellent with two exceptions! We stayed 5 nights and the original small bar of soap was gone and never replaced and Kleenex as well. Too late to go to office when we returned. Should have been checked daily and replaced, luckily we brought soap! We stayed in unit 6. It was very nice. Take the trail thru the property at the north end of the property. There you will find a tree swing! That was so much fun! We looked at lodging from Lake Quinault to Port Angeles and later drove to every town from Aberdeen to Port Angeles and the Quillyute River Resort was spectacular from every place we looked at on line, best place for your $$ The only other place we would have stayed was Lake Crescent, beautiful! Overall wonderful!! You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: If you have an IPAD wifi didn't work; iPhone was iffy we were down in a hole. Once back on hi wa...

We travelled to the Quillayute River Resort in the Spring of 2014 for our second visit. It was wonderful to return to this extraordinary place. We experienced the same gracious, friendly and attentive hosts, same impeccably clean rooms, same inordinately well appointed kitchen area, same beautiful view out the windows of the room and from the room’s front patio. We used the resort as our base for trips to the Hoh Rain Forest, the rugged beaches of the Pacific and the most northwestern tip of the U.S., Cape Flattery. We could have, just as easily, spent our entire time sitting on the patio and watching the Bald Eagles fish for salmon in the river, enjoy the fabulous gardens and marvel at the numerous hummingbirds. The Quillayute River Resort is a very special retreat on the Olympic Peninsula. The owners/hosts, Chip and Linda, work tirelessly to make certain that everyone’s stay is perfect.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are perfect!

This hotel is a gem. The property is exceptional....beautifully landscaped with an excellent view of the river. The accommodations were equally nice. Very quaint and cozy and exceptionally clean. The kitchen was fully equipped and they even had an outdoor grill and outdoor furniture for relaxing and enjoying the view. The location is perfect to explore the various beaches of Olympic National Park. I would highly recommend this property.

We are in the middle of a five night stay at this small resort and could not have been happier with our selection. There are four units available for rent, is my understanding, and our unit was a one bedroom oasis facing the river with hummingbird feeder, flowers, chairs to sit outside, a fully equipped kitchen, comfy bed, big screen TV with DirectTV, wifi, convenient to the beaches, 20 minutes to the Hoh Rain Forest. Truly, what more could you want? Did I mention friendly and helpful hosts? Our only problem? Our next stop can't possibly compete!

I drove from Seattle;Dad flew from Philadelphia and drove separately. The resort was mostly unoccupied when we arrived; parking is in a gravel lot and there is a separate outbuilding under construction on site. Photos on the resort's website are 100% accurate. We had two neighboring suites (the owners live in suite 1, which is also the office). Each suite has its own wifi and satellite TV, but note that there is *absolutely no cell signal* at this location. Kitchens offer more than adequate supplies but it's a bit of a drive into Forks if you don't bring groceries when you initially arrive. Relative to the beach and hiking attractions, the location was perfect. Nights were silent but for woodsy noises; days were full of hummingbirds swarming to the various feeders hung along the breezeway/porch outside the suite doors. Resort grounds are immaculately landscaped. Laundry is available for an added cost (detergent etc. provided), and Weber grills are available for each suite, which we made good use of during our two nights there. Quite a drive if you avoid taking a ferry, but the scenery along 101 was well worth seeing.

Room Tip: Not that many suites to choose from--be mindful that suite 2 is next to the owners' suite, 1.

Last summer we stayed for one night here and vowed to come back. We booked for a week upon returning home and upon returning, found it to be as wonderful as we remembered. Th grounds are immaculate with sweeping beds of beautiful perennials, birds chirping, hummingbirds zinging, all along the gorgeous river. The rooms are cozy and quaint. It isn't luxury, but they are clean, comfortable and have everything you need to feel at home. We stopped in Forks for food and made breakfast and lunch at the resort. Packing a picnic for lunch completed our food plan. The well stocked kitchen made this easy to do. The King size bed is comfy, the directv is just like home, and the retro 1950s refrigerator keeps the beer cold for sitting and enjoying the view. The location is perfectly situated to allow easy access to the Olympic National Park for days trips. Rialto Beach is right down the road to visit each evening. We will be back :) The only downsides... A tiny bathroom and no air conditioning. The nights were cool and breezy during our stay so the lack of air was not an issue.

Room Tip: We stayed in number 6 which is on the end, so perfect for parking and quiet. All the rooms are quiet...

Wonderful clean, nicely updated full kitchen and picture perfect. We watched eagles from our cabin. It's just about 4 miles to the ocean at Rialto beach. Roasted marshmallows on the beach and watches the sunset. Would come back again in a heartbeat.
