“A definite favorite”
Reviewed 28 February 2012

Love to just hop on the Kingston ferry and walk up the street to the Main Street Ale House. Their fish tacos are wonderful; a friend said they had the best oysters she'd ever eaten. Terrific sweet potato fries! They're friendly without being obnoxious; it's on the smallish side but comfortable. Best in the summer when you sit on the outdoor deck facing the marina.

Cozy and inviting with great food and wonderful service. We love to walk and enjoy this wonderful restaurant in our own hometown. We go once a week, and I am never disappointed. Love the Crab Cakes and the owners always make you feel very welcome.

“Great atmosphere, family friendly yet very upscale feeling at the same time.”
Reviewed 12 January 2012

You have got to try this place! Bar, fine dining, view deck on the back. Menu is upscale and in my opinion up to par or better than Seattle's finest. You won't be disappointed.

“Our group of 55 people took the whole restaurant - Great service/food”
Reviewed 28 October 2011

After an afternoon of meetings, our group boarded the Edmonds ferry and walked to the restaurant about two blocks from the Kingston ferry landing. We learned that the owners, Darren and Kim, bought the restaurant in January of this year. They made sure everyone was welcome and they had their favorite beverage. They have 20 beers on tap from which to choose in addition to wine and soft drinks.
Since we booked the whole restaurant for dinner, we had a choice of either Salmon or Prime Rib for an entree. We did not make our selection until asked by the wait person. We were amazed how the restaurant could prepare and serve that many meals withour being given advance notice of how many of each entree would be ordered.
The staff did a fantastic job not only waiting on us but managed to bring a well prepared and warm dinner out to each of us, a couple of tables at a time. I enjoyed an end cut of prime rib which was flavorful and cooked just right. A few of my table mates had salmon and expressed their satisfaction with their dinner, too. A delightful dessert followed.
Given the good experience we had at the Main Street Ale House and the fact that we can leave our car in Edmonds, walk on the ferry and walk a short distance to the restaurant, we'll be returning.

“Great, local restaurant/bar”
Reviewed 23 October 2011

Main Street Ale house is a great, little local restaurant with a good bar. The owner is always on the floor meeting and greeting and helping to serve. She makes everyone feel welcome and accommodates special diets whenever possible. In the summer, the deck is open and overlooks the Kingston marina. If you are taking the ferry to Kingston for the day, it is within walking distance of the ferry terminal. The Ale House serves local beers and wines (along with a full bar). The restaurant is cozy and welcoming. I would recommend it to locals and visitors alike.
