This is a beautiful setting for a hotel that is doing everything right. Great location on the water, beautiful views and very friendly attentive staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Surrounding area is perfect for walking/jogging/shopping and water activities. They have a great feature called "Raid the Pantry" where every nite from 11-1 AM you can help yourself to hot and cold snacks. One of our favorites.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking time to share some parts of your visit for the readers of TripAdvisor. The views from our lake front rooms are stunning, especially those summer sunsets. I am so glad you enjoyed our "Raid the Pantry" feature. We just updated and added additional offerings to the program. We can't wait to see you the next time you're in our area.

It was our 5th anniversary and we were looking for a unique place to stay near Seattle. The 5th anniversary traditional gift is Wood, so what better place to stay than the Woodmark....with a hotel dog named Woody.

The Woodmark is Seattle's only lakefront hotel, and what a beautiful spot! It's in the middle of a residential area, but only 20 minutes from downtown, and only a few minutes from Bellevue. It's set just back from the water with a yacht club and dock right out front.

We had let them know it was our anniversary, and the excellent service staff noted it on arrival and greeted us with a glass of Champagne. They also made sure all our dinner and excursion arrangements were made. (Thanks to Sheryl, our reservations associate who was great!).

Our room had a fantastic view of the lake, a comfortable king sized bed, free wireless internet, and a luxurious dual head rain shower. The rooms are nicely appointed, and even included the fixings for a martini in a martini kit.

On our first morning we took a tour of Lake Washington on their 1950's Chris-Craft boat, the Woodmark II. It's a beautiful wooden boat with a great skipper who gave us just the right amount of trivia and information while letting us enjoy our trip.

We had a fantastic meal at the Bin on the Lake, the hotel restaurant. They greeted us with a glass of sparkling wine and also congratulated us on our anniversary. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable on their huge wine selection and helped us pair a series of 1 and 2oz tasters throughout the meal. It was a great way to experience many Washington state wines in one meal.

We also took advantage of their "Raid the Pantry", which has late night snacks you can enjoy in the lobby or take back to your room (worth it just for a couple bottles of water and the Tim's Potato Chips).

The Woodmark Hotel really is a unique spot and a completely different kind of Seattle vacation, which for us usually is a much more "city" vacation. We felt rested and relaxed, and really appreciated the attention to detail that the staff gave us, including the adorable hotel dog "Woody", a labradoodle that lives at the hotel. Thanks for giving us a memorable anniversary.

The Woodmark is a quaint boutique hotel set 100 feet or so back from Lake Washington. The location in Carillon Point feels very private. It's about a mile south from the main strip of downtown Kirkland, a straight shot down Lake Washington Boulevard. There are several beaches/parks along with way, with gorgeous homes and condos opposite them, so on a sunny day or evening it makes for a nice (and potentially romantic) walk or bike ride. The decor of the hotel is like a vintage-boutique, and is very comfortable and charming, feeling very luxurious, but not at all stuffy or pretentious. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. I can't imagine getting a room without a water view here, you do not want to miss that! Especially during the summer when the sunsets can be magical (yes, I meant to be that cheesy. magical!). Our room (a one bedroom) was large with a cozy king bed and plenty of higher-quality bathroom toiletries provided.

Although the Heathman is nice, and located smack dab in downtown Kirkland which is very convenient, I would choose the Woodmark first any day.

I use Trip Advisor all the time and figured it was time to contribute back with my first review.

We are frequent travelers and fairly picky. Let me sum it up this way: excellent service, very clean, great reviews, no allergies for pet dander, reasonably priced for the area.

We were little apprehensive because this hotel is billed at pet friendly and my wife has bad pet allergies (as in she can’t be in my parent’s house for more than 3 hours without intravenous Benadryl). She had ZERO pet problems the entire week – do not be afraid of the pet thing. Aside from Woody the hotel dog, who we never saw out of the lobby, we never saw another pet and it was supposedly at near guest capacity the whole week (although it didn’t feel like it as we didn’t see many other people, felt like our own hotel). If you are really concerned about the pet thing, call ahead and ask for a “deep clean of the room” before you arrive. I don’t think it matters since we were moved out of the room which had been “deep cleaned” to a regular cleaned room and no pet issues with that one at all. Bathrooms were nicely done, great fixtures, nice tile, all the trimmings you would expect. Beds super comfy… similar to the heavenly bed, good temp controls in room. We didn't use all the spa places downstairs, but they looked top shelf from the outside.

We arrived on a very late flight from the East Coast for a house hunting trip (we are relocating to the area). Even at 2AM, the staff was bright and cheery. The next morning, we requested to be moved because the room was on the back side of the hotel where the trash truck came calling at 5AM – we were moved to the front water side – no questions asked and setup with a great view of the harbor and boats tied up at the dock.

We spent the next five days living out of this hotel. The valet went and got our car about 4 times a day for our manic house hunting jaunts and every time was very cheery, offering recommendations, never expecting a tip (although he got them and deserved them, they did charge 15/day at the time – well worth it). The front desk was always a very helpful and with a great attitude even at 5AM (we were stuck on east coast time the whole week).

The hotel is very clean, great views, great location for roaming King county/Bellevue/Kirkland, within striking distance for downtown Seattle. We ran in the mornings up to Kirkland’s downtown along the shore road, there is a Starbucks and a cafe across the street from the Hotel, and found some good restaurants in the Kirkland area. The wine bar downstairs has good food, decent wine, excellent views inside or out on the heated patio for half-price happy hour.

I totally recommend this place to others, you won’t be sorry.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write about the Woodmark for your first review. I am so happy you enjoyed your stay during your house hunting trip. You will love this area once you relocate. I moved here from the East Coast 12 years ago and have appreciated the decision to do so ever since. Let me know if you need any advice on areas to explore the next time you're in town.

Look forward to seeing you soon.

What an odd title you might be thinking;
though not really so very strange in this case. . .
Life can happen unexpectedly, and often one of the MOST healing solutions is found in the luxury of a First Class hotel!

A dear friend had surgery this date, so we decided that recovery in 'vacation mode' would be a better plan than languishing without premier service and comfort . . .

Carillon Point is a frequent destination of choice, with so many good restaurants and services that we often think of it as our own private club.
(Abundant others here locally feel the same, also!)

A glass of champagne, a warm welcome and "Woody" the Woodmark dog smoothly
acknowledged our reservation for an exquisite lakefront room on the top floor, with Juliette balcony and a charming awning to help shade against the brilliant afternoon sun.

The bathroom is not large, though was wonderfully filled with luxurious fluffy towels, robes and divine array of soaps, potions and lotions.

Though the room was not overly large, a spacious & gracious feeling compensates; complete with large chair and ottoman by the sliding glass door and windows, providing immediate lake views in combo with luxurious comfort.

Room service is FAST, and menus for all Carillon Point restaurants are accessible, also, in addition to the basic hotel fare. For those who wish to dine on site, there are several excellent choices, as well as the Woodmark bar, which has two happy hours daily, along with a full menu for dining 'living room' style by the fire, overlooking the lake.

However, since the purpose of this visit was post surgery rest and relaxation, my friend was comfortably propped up with multitudinous bed pillows of varying softness, and nested with delight into succulent bed linens; fluffy down comforter and stunning sheets.
Top standard throughout!

There was something extremely healing about watching guests and visitors strolling the promenade along the lake, and savouring one of metro Seattle's most stunning sunsets.

The Woodmark is extremely quiet, and we never heard other guests in the hall. Elevators are
prompt and frequent. Guest ice is dispensed in handy sacks instead of loose chips;
easily transported to the room. Parking is covered and available by either Valet or do-it-yourself at very reasonable cost.

As a special mention, it was most surprising to see the truly inexpensive prices for the mini-bar and in-room snacks, considering the high star quality of this resort hotel.

The inviting combination of waterfront location, ease of access, extremely friendly & helpful nature of the entire staff, suitably soundproofed construction and excellent wining/dining venues, it is easy to understand why The Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, WA, is a frequent destination,
even for those us who live close by ~~ !!

Room Tip: The west-facing lakefront rooms are premiere and well worth the cost differential, but do be aware t...

We live in the area but had an event to attend and decided to stay at the Woodmark. It's a lovely location - right on the water and we had a beautiful view. The staff was very friendly and helpful, check-in easy. I love that they are pet-friendly and have a resident dog who greats you when you check in. The beds were comfortable and the linens very nice. Parking was easy. We didn't have a chance to use the fitness center but it looked nice. My only complaints (and the hotel really couldn't help either)....first there was a very loud wedding going on right outside our window and most of the wedding party was on our floor so it was pretty crazy. No afternoon nap that day. Also, from about 5am on, the air conditioning was making a knocking noise so after a late night out, we didn't get to sleep in and went home exhausted. I think the stay would have been perfect if it hadn't been for that.

The hotel is located on a water front (which is already a win for me), although my particular room was not facing the water. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, there was a complimentary bottle of water, some chocolates, a tea/coffee making kit and plenty of stuff in the mini-bar. The bath was good, and everything was clean. The breakfast was served at the water front, and the food was ok (although by no means excellent). The lobby was nice, and if I wanted to, I could have spent hours there reading a book in front of a fireplace in a comfy armchair. I was a bit surprised to find a $12 per night charge for the parking, other than that, I can find nothing wrong with this hotel.

Room Tip: I'd try and ask for a room facing the water.
