I'm a big fan of Olive You. The last time my wife and I went there, the menu was much smaller than in the past. Originally the menu was so extensive it was hard to choose. And we also found out they are no longer open for breakfast, one of their great meals. Too bad, but it's a sign of the times. Plus this area of Kirkland has always been a challenge for restauranteurs, a challenge exacerbated by the limited amount of parking.

We went to Olive You this time because we had a Groupon for a 4-course meal. It was terrific! I still recommend Olive You!

Went with the wife to use a long ago purchased Groupon dinner "deal".

Place was almost empty a late Saturday evening, but we were nicely greeted by Michael (?) and truly felt welcome. Had a few glasses of wine, salad, cheese plate, lamb shank, and dessert.. Nothing to brag about, but no major complaints either. Service was excellent. Personable but not pushy. Just the right blanance between interest and intrusion.

So this IS a nice place, but I think it might be better as a cocktail bar/lounge than a restaurant when only the section towards Lake Street is open. I could see myself spending an evening "hanging" with friends and having a good time.

I just hope they see enough traffic to "hang in there" and survive the dark days of late winter and early spring. Would be sad to see these (really nice guys) disappear.

The people next to us wanted to pay for their drinks and leave because the service was so slow! After waiting 20 minutes and trying to get the waiter's attention, they just left without paying.

We went on a busy Sunday evening- they were out of spanikopita, calamari, and their lamb specialties. When we asked for the Gyro platter we had to wait to find out if they had any lamb- thank goodness they did!
We waited a long time for our meal while one harried waiter had to deal with all the patrons.
The Gyro platter and the gyro wrap were worth waiting for- incredibly tasty with flavors of Europe in every bite. The Mediterranean salad was pleasing, but small and stingy on the feta cheese and olives.
A good selection of wines but no non alcoholic beers.
The server really tried to compensate for the poor service and lack of delectable treats that may entice us to go back.
An investment in more staff would be recommended.
