While it's a few blocks out of the way from the shops and activities, this is a lovely inn with very thoughtful touches. We had a regular king bedded room which had a view of the parking area. It was a relatively small room, but well furnished.
You get what you pay for. I'm sure the larger rooms with views out the back of the inn are nicer.
Breakfast was excellent, and unlike smaller B&B's where you have to eat at a set time, the inn had open seating starting at 8AM.
They made an excellent dinner recommendation for Nell Thorn's pub. We decided to eat downstairs instead of the more formal upstairs dining room, and met many friendly people.
A worthwhile destination.

We choose The Wild Iris Inn to celebrate our honeymoon -- a most excellent choice! Parking was plentiful and easy to access; the staff was very friendly - you could tell they genuinely love their job. They made us feel welcomed from the moment we stepped through the door. The room was quiet and inviting; the bathroom clean and tastefully decorated. The king-sized bed was 30 inches high with 6 over-stuffed pillows and a very comfortable mattress. Our room had an indoor, two-person wide jetted tub, a gas fire place, big screen TV, and a beautiful patio that over-looked a well maintained floral garden. We were impressed with the quality of the breakfast. It started out with a yogurt cup served with fresh berries, granola, and homemade coffee cake. The next course was a quiche layered with potatoes, sausage, eggs, cheese, and spinach. Gourmet coffee and fresh juice topped off the meal. Overall, we appreciated the professionalism of the staff, the nonsmoking / pet-free environment, and the elegance of our accomodations. Definitely worth the price and a perfect choice for a romantic honeymoon. We plan to return for our first year anniversary, if not before!

I recently stayed at the Wild Iris Inn and would definitely recommend it. The positives are it was cute, comfortable, clean, nice towels, great homemade cookies waiting in the room and a wonderful breakfast that wasn't the usual pancakes or waffles. Breakfast was granola with fresh berries followed by a frittata. . .yum! They also offer a wine & cheese plate which I would highly recommend. It was a good size plate and was perfect to nibble on while watching one of their complimentary DVD's. The walls were thick so you didn't hear the other guests and the staff was super friendly.

The only negatives I have are that the one queen room (which we got) is the same price as the others, but it's much smaller and has no jetted tub. The room rate was a bit high for the size of the accomodations. Also, the air conditioner was so loud I ended up having to turn it off and turn on the slightly less louder fan. I was also looking forward to sinking into one of their luxurious robes, but it had been laundered in bleach so many times, it was quite stiff.

The negatives were minor compared to how much we overall enjoyed our stay. La Conner itself was a cute town and loved having that great breakfast then strolling around the riverfront.

Fresh flowers, wonderfully appointed room. Amazing cookies upon arrival. The outside deck with pots of plants and 2 sets of seating, overlooking beautiful farmland. An amazing bed and soaker tub for two, with total quiet, except for the 2 CDs provided by the Inn, playing glorious piano. Breakfast to die for! Delightful owners who went out of their way to accommodate us. One night was not enough!

Wow...what a fabulous place to stay, this is one of the best B&B's I've stayed at, gas fireplace, outdoor tub, increadibly comfortable bed, quiet, peaceful, courteous, respectful staff, super clean room, and fabulous breakfast all included for an increadibly reasonable price...easily worth twice what we paid! Great little town to walk through, very scenic drive in and then onto woodby island. I highly recommend the Wild Iris.

We had a great stay at the Wild iris. It's both cozy and classy. The bed was comfy and sumptuously appointed, the in-room jetted tub was a treat, and the decor was very nice. The delicious 2-course breakfasts (which are obviously made with local farm-fresh products) meant we didn't need much lunch! Bottled water and delicious, enormous cookies in the room were an added bonus. The only small thing I'd have liked would've been an in-room mini fridge, but I realize it's hard to fit those in and to make them look elegant. The staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

We decided to end our vacation to Vancouver Island by staying in La Conner before driving home because we love the town and the area. I found the Wild Iris Inn on the internet and decided to book a casual queen room. Our experience far exceed our expectations. The Inn is beautifully decorated with plants, flowers, comfortable furnishings, and adorable decorative pieces. Rosie greeted us at the front desk and was most helpful. The room was very nicely appointed, including a gas fireplace and flat screen television with a built in DVD. A selection of DVDs were available in the lobby. Fresh flowers and two gigantic, delicious cookies greeted us when we entered the room. The linens were elegant and plush. Breakfast was outstanding and more than ample. Leftovers were packaged like gifts to be taken and eaten later. The service and hospitality at the Wild Iris Inn was first class. We will definitely return the next time we come to La Conner, and are recommending the Wild Iris Inn to all our friends.
