My husband and I stopped by Trillium Creek on our way out to Harstine Island for the weekend. I had seen the sign for the winery along the route many times and we decided we'd stop in.
When we pulled up to the little tasting room Claude walked out to greet us. He then called Claudia over to take us on a tour of the property.
Claudia was very enthusiastic and was able to give us a great colorful history of the winery and the property. Their dog Champs even joined us on the tour.
The last portion of the tour is in their large wine cellar where the wine barrels are kept, this is part of the tour you normally don't get at most wineries so it was a unique experience.
Then we were returned to the tasting room to spend some time with Claude. With this sort of tasting you have to keep in mind that the pace of the tasting is slow but Claude likes it that way and in the end you will find you like it that way too. Claude goes in to great detail about each of his wines. The wine they make is "French" style which pleased my husband after going on a wine tasting in France and finding out you could drink wine all day and never feel hung over in the morning.
2 hours later we purchased 3 bottles of wine and we now tell everyone about Trillium Creek.
