I stayed at the inn for 6 nights in October 2013. It was an incredible experience with so many different elements that contributed.

Staff - Brenda, Diane, Megan - everyone was wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful for any request that we had. From directions to booking local travel to recommendations - they were eager to help. I was there with a group and Brenda was AMAZING at helping us through out the week. Every spontaneous request was meet with enthusiasm and creativity to meet our needs.

Dining - Matt and staff were off the charts. Out dinner with wine flights had to be one of the best I have ever had. And I have had meals from London to Bangkok to Marrekesh. This was amazing. This was not just about the food - which was wonderful - but this was an experience all to itself.

Rooms - each one with a balcony over the water. We say a pod of orcas - maybe 20 of them. What more could you ask for???

A wonderful experience for anyone, and an amazing base for a group. We may have been a corporate group that accomplished a great deal of good work - but when we weren't working we were enjoying an absolutely wonderful experience in the hands of the folks at the Inn at Langley.

My husband and I recently spent a night here on our way up to the San Juan Islands. We enjoyed a brief, but peaceful stay. This is a fine inn, but very rustic. It reminds me of my grandparent's old lake home in Wisconsin. You need to know what you are getting. The views off our balcony were incredible, and it was a treat enjoying some quiet time together reading. The shower is large with equally lovely views of the water. We loved the Starbucks drink options, as well as basket of snacks provided free in our room. The breakfast was delicious, and it was fun to chat with the very personable chef. Be prepared to walk up and down stairs during your stay, as no elevators are provided. Our room could have used a ceiling fan, screen on the sliding patio door, and more comfortable bed. The location is good for an easy walk to the main street of Langley. We stay at some nice hotels, and I believe the price is a bit high for this hotel.

We arrived short notice, and so luckily were able to stay 1 night on a rainy-windy weekend. Brenda at Receiption was a joy, she was very accommodating and attentive to our needs.
The room and bed were comfortable, and we had a perfect night's sleep. The lobby smells heavenly, like entering a Spa, and there is always fresh lemon-lime water and coffee. DVD's for loan are plentiful in the lobby although we had a hard time making the dvd/tv work even though following the instructions.

The morning breakfast/brunch (included) was a culinary delight-and the dining facility is very Pacific Northwest Chic and comfortable. The owners made a point to greet us at breakfast, a nice personal touch that added to our experience.

A few things I would expect at this price ($300per night +): More in-room ammenities, a bit more luxurious "spa" bathrobes, add slippers too perhaps. A hurricane lantern with a flameless/battery operated candle (for safety) on the patio table would add ambience for little cost per room. There was not a spa menu in room nor any local information. There were a few other items we mentioned to the staff upon check-out, but nothing that was more than a small annoyance.

1 night... for a 2 days work event... On a week day... Sept 2013...

Cons:
- Internet/WiFi is a DISASTER. Unreliable, slow, poorly configured (you need to delete the network and re-enter the password in different floors, probably different encryptions), etc.
- Dysfunctional room, no desk.
- Tiny little Queen bed.
- Noisy heating.

Pros:
- Great bathroom/Jacuzzi/shower.
- Great restaurant.
- Beautiful view and deck in the room.

Not a place I look forward to come back to.

We host all sorts of groups every year. Never have we seen this kind of response. It is always unfortunate when a guest has trouble communicating a problem. We could have addressed ALL of his issues if Sergio1970s had just communicated. Our Wi-Fi provider could have come out if Sergio1970s had spoken to us. It's to bad this is the only forum he took. Wi-Fi needs a reset sometimes. I am sure everyone has experienced this. His group had been here often before, this was Sergio1970s first time with them and our first complaint ever. Again if we know about the problem we are VERY diligent about fixing it. It really is a shame he could not communicate clearer. We have only one other complaint rated like this and it was from a couple we had to ask to leave. We have tables to offer. We can get heaters fixed. We just wish Sergio1970s could have been able to speak with us, we could have made things better for him. We hope this reply helps him get better results at other hotels. Ours is not the right place for him.

We were only there one night which was not long enough. Our king room was lovely but was located near housekeeping and their laundry room. Next time I would book a top floor. It would be quieter and have somewhat easier access. There are lots of stairs at this property. We had dinner at award-winning Chef Matt Costello's restaurant. It was wonderful and we loved the atmosphere of the dining room/kitchen. We hope to return next year during our annual visit to the Seattle area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the housekeeping and laundry area. If you mind stairs, request a room with the least amount of stairs.
