This was our second stay at the Boatyard Inn. We stayed in Room #5 again-the view of the sunrise from the platform bed was breathtaking. Listening to the waves lap against the deck wall was comforting. Sitting in front of the fireplace with my favorite Pacific Northwest author, sipping Seattle's Best and looking at the snow capped mountains and Puget Sound was awesome. The kitchen was well-equipped and redone from our last visit. A quick trip to the Star Store for fresh fruits and vegetables had us set for our stay. The bedding was cozy and a blanket was set aside if you wanted to lounge on the deck. Useless Bay Coffee is a quick walk as well as Braeburn's for a full breakfast or lunch. Very nice restaurants right in Langley if you don't want to travel too far and if you are lucky The Clyde may be showing a movie you might like. The theater is 75 years young.
Mynda, the Innkeeper, was very attentive and oh so friendly.
Family and friends bring us to Whidbey Island every year. We love the town of Langley and the island drives to Coupeville, Fort Casey, a quick ferry ride to Port Townsend. A wonderful place to relax and recharge. Going back next year.
