“Perfect Get Away”

This was our second stay at the Boatyard Inn. We stayed in Room #5 again-the view of the sunrise from the platform bed was breathtaking. Listening to the waves lap against the deck wall was comforting. Sitting in front of the fireplace with my favorite Pacific Northwest author, sipping Seattle's Best and looking at the snow capped mountains and Puget Sound was awesome. The kitchen was well-equipped and redone from our last visit. A quick trip to the Star Store for fresh fruits and vegetables had us set for our stay. The bedding was cozy and a blanket was set aside if you wanted to lounge on the deck. Useless Bay Coffee is a quick walk as well as Braeburn's for a full breakfast or lunch. Very nice restaurants right in Langley if you don't want to travel too far and if you are lucky The Clyde may be showing a movie you might like. The theater is 75 years young.

Mynda, the Innkeeper, was very attentive and oh so friendly.

Family and friends bring us to Whidbey Island every year. We love the town of Langley and the island drives to Coupeville, Fort Casey, a quick ferry ride to Port Townsend. A wonderful place to relax and recharge. Going back next year.

Room Tip: # 5 is awesome. If you need 2 bedrooms Mynda said #6 has the same views as 5 and is 2 story.

We chose Boatyard Inn because of the reviews here and were glad we did! Amazing, quiet location with a 3 minute walk to the center of town. Very well furnished kitchen. Everything about the Boatyard Inn was great! The innkeeper was so nice, too!

Would like a king bed instead of a queen, and the bathrooms are not luxury, but not a big deal. Was absolutely very nice. Would also like drapes, or at least curtains, over the mini-blinds to block out a bit of the early morning sun for those "sleep-in" mornings.

Believe all the good things you see on Trip Advisor... We will go again!

Room Tip: We rented Room 7 and loved it. Even though it is on the lower level, the deck is a bit bigger than s...

This Inn, right on the water was the perfect location for a weekend getaway. The Loft has SO much living space and there is impeccable attention to detail to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable from the raised beds, the nightlights, the blankets to use on the deck while the sun sets...the backrest on the deck bench.....so very well put together.
We loved watching the boats, wandering down to the beach and up into the town....we didn't want to leave so we got Pizza and ate in our loft. The Sun woke us early but what an amazing sunrise! and coffee on the deck....lovely.
Mynda accommodated our request for 1 night (even though the website says 2 night minimum) so it's worth calling to ask......although I imagine in the summer you would be out of luck......and trust me.....one night is not enough anyway.....we didn't want to come home!

Room Tip: #8 worked for us although the room below's deck is right under yours so if they are chatty or no...

We stayed in #8 and couldn't have been happier with the experience. Boatyard Inn is right on the water near the Langley docks. It was exactly what we hoped for - quiet, comfortable, and a very short uphill walk to town. Even when Langley was "busy," we never saw it. Strolled up to Useless Bay Coffee each morning, enjoying the crisp morning air and the sun rising over Puget Sound. The loft was nice and open, with the kitchenette separating the downstairs bed and the living space. The downstairs bed is raised so you can see out the windows onto the Sound. Upstairs is another bed, bath, and sink, with more east-facing windows. The loft was very clean, with plenty of towels, and the kitchenette had the basics you'd need to cook simple meals. We ate in for breakfast, and cooked ourselves a nice dinner the first night after a walk up to the Star Store. Innkeepers were great to work with - note you will have to email your CC# after you make reservations, if you're squeamish about those things. The daughter and I took a long walk long the shore at low tide, which was the highlight of her trip. If I was forced to pick something that could be improved upon, our loft was right on the edge of their wifi, so it was iffy at certain times. But honestly, that's picking at nits. I HIGHLY recommend Boatyard Inn, just as everyone else has!

My husband and I were looking for some true relaxation, but didn't want to travel too far.... the answer.. the Boatyard Inn. The beautiful studios are complete with a kitchen and have very chic decor. We were rocked to sleep every night with the sound of the waves lapping away near our balcony. The herons, bald eagles, cormorants and king fishers flying past our window made for a full on wildlife experience. The location is perfect, being isolated near the marina yet close enough for the short walk up the hill to the seaside town of Langley. There is no need to look very far for our next getaway. We will be back at the Boatyard Inn soon!

Room Tip: Anything along the water.

We have stayed here twice as it is the most peaceful Inn we have found yet. We decided to try a different room and found that we were sitll longing for our original favourite. the Inn keeper was nice enough to let us have our favourite room and even let us stay 2 hours longer than check out time as no one was coming to stay in that room the next day .

We loved this place. My husband and I decided we would take a short winter vacation on Whidby Island, Wa. I found this Inn online and was so glad I did. The unit was right on the water with a fabulous view. The bed was comfy, the shower was good and we loved the fireplace. It was clean, classy and comfortable. We highly recommend it!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the puget sound
