This dreamy little cabin is the perfect getaway, whether you are a native northwest dweller or a visitor to the area. Cozy, spotlessly clean and welcoming, you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Paula is a " hostess with the mostess" and her yummy gifted bottle of locally made white wine was much appreciated.
The mountain vistas and changing light over the salt water, plus the busy bird action made this a memorable time for my friend and I.
I will be back!
... but wanted to comment on Paula anyway. Through some sort of mix-up I'm still trying to understand, we booked a reservation with Paula for the property. Once Paula realized I'd made a mistake, she promptly and courteously canceled our reservation and provided a full refund. Even though we only held the booking for a couple of hours, Paula was under no obligation to help us out. That she did so is a sign of her integrity. We'll have to stay at her place next time!
Spent the weekend at the cottage, enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful view, cozy place and a short drive to Langley for the murder mystery weekend. Would love to visit again sometime.
My family and I were so comfortable there. There were fresh flowers and a bottle of wine waiting for us. Check in and check out were seamless. We were there during bad weather, but we still enjoyed our time on the beach. I can only imagine how much better it will be during nice weather. It is a great getaway. My husband and I plan on staying again.
We stayed two nights in this little cottage. We were greeted with a bottle of wine & fresh flowers on the table, which was awesome! The deco was dated (rugs & wall deco). The bathroom had been refurbished & was lovely with a very deep tub, tile walls & flooring. The bathroom sink counter was elevated which made washing up very nice. There is a plunger under the sink if you should need it.
The amenities lists a fireplace which probably referred to the fire-pit on the deck as there was no inside fireplace. The side building laundry was stocked with galoshes in various sizes & other supplies for your stay if needed.
All of the light switches had dimmers which was very nice. The bed was supper comfortable, with a wrought iron head & foot board & a very cute country quilt patterned bed spread & matching pillow shams. The bed was very cozy with flannel sheets & just the right amount of covers.
I'm a window watcher & love looking out the windows at the view. The front window was in need of cleaning which was distracting when the sun shined thru it & blocked the view.
There was a beautiful window in the bedroom, however a desk & desk light partially block the view. It would have been wonderful to have woken up to a beautiful unobstructed view of the water!
We needed to revise our reservation. Paula & Debbi we very helpful in helping us make the change.
All & all a nice cottage & very clean. Thanks for a nice stay. Very peaceful & quiet.
We spent our 40th anniversary in this lovely little cottage by the bay. We expected a nice view, but were pleasantly surprised by the fresh flowers and wine on the table, the excellent selection of condiments in the cupboard and the locally made bath products in the bathroom.
The bed was comfortable too. We will be back!
From the welcoming beautiful floral arrangements, gorgeous views, a charming garden (with lettuce, onions, herbs, tomatoes), patio with fire pit, private beach, well appointed kitchen with all necessary cookware, washer/dryer, even a kayak and galoshes in various sizes -- plus a wonderfully comfortable bed -- couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on Whidbey.
