“Enjoyed the King Room with Fireplace”
Reviewed 8 March 2014

We enjoyed our 3rd floor king room with an electric fireplace. Our room had a flat screen TV and DVD player, microwave and refrigerator. Comfortable bed and pillows. Excellent hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles...) Only complaint would be the bathroom -- awkward layout and toilet lid would not stay up. This hotel has a small indoor heated pool and spa -- very nice for winter months. Charming Bavarian decor and wall paintings inside and out. The hotel is on the edge of town center, close to everything. We originally booked a queen room, but it was very small and cramped, so the front desk clerk upgraded us to a king room -- which was lovely. This hotel is 100% smoke free and pet friendly. So if you have pet allergies, do not stay on the first floor.

Room Tip: Choose a King room on 2nd or 3rd floor. The first floor rooms allow pets which can be a problem for...

Took my 18 and 6 year old on a weekend get away to play in the snow in Leavenworth and found this gem. Staff was excellent, prices were fair. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!! They have a nice, well maintained indoor pool and hot tub to play in. The staff was very responsive and friendly. Loved the King Suite with a fireplace! Was a very nice weekend for me and my kids!

Room Tip: If you go in the winter, make sure you get one of the fireplace rooms. Well worth the little extra...

We got the suite for the night and the price was great. We were within reasonable walking distance to the down town attractions. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. I love the quiet hours. The hotel was very quiet at night (on a Friday) and comfortable. Great location.

We visited Leavenworth / Stevens Pass for 2 days, January 2014. We stayed in the Fairbridge Inn and have to say we were extremely pleased with the establishment, locale and price. We had a suite (#137), albeit it basic décor which was a wee bit tired, we had enough room for 4 adults, our 22 month old and our dog. The room was cozy (real fire), cable TV and PLENTY of towels (it may seem like a little thing, but for multiple people, it's important). Also, another small attention to detail, the Keurig coffee machine had plenty of milk, coffee and cups. It is literally a 10 minute walk in to the center of Leavenworth and only a 45 minute drive to Stevens to take in some snowboarding. The breakfast (included) was lovely and decent free WiFi. The staff were great too. Overall, I would stay in this hotel again without a question.

Room Tip: If you have a party size similar to ours, see if room #137 is available.

We stayed here for New Year's 2013. First of all, there is insufficient parking for this motel. This is a very large, three-story building with one strip of single parking in front, a few parking spaces in an adjacent small lot and a few parking spaces all the way around to the back of the building, (down a slippery slope in winter.) The rooms are clean and comfortable, but cramped - not much room to move around, however, they do provide a small refrigerator and microwave, which is a plus, especially if traveling with children.

Our room ran out of hot water the first night (we stayed three nights) and informed the front office. They checked the hot water heater and reported back that it was "because everyone was showering at the same time." This happened for the rest of the trip... it was 30* in Leavenworth and none of us were able to able to have a hot bath or shower at all. The front office offered to let us rent a movie of our choice as a consolation. I was shocked and asked that they refund part of our cost and the representative said they could not because I had booked with Expedia.

The beds were covered only in a thin down comforter that was not sufficient for this weather and caused us to use the room heater constantly. Having some blankets available or a thicker comforter on the bed, especially during winter, would have been more cost efficient and comfortable.

The breakfast IS large and varied, however, the serving area was very messy and not cleaned up during service... it was unappealing to try to put together a breakfast with globs of food and crumbs and stray napkins and utensils all over the place (even a stuck piece of toast in a toaster that rendered it unusable, not removed from the service area.)

That said, our experience with the room maids was pleasant and all were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The hairdryer in our room went out and another was brought to the room within a few minutes of calling.

Once home, I contacted Expedia about our experience and asked that they refund at least part of our cost (at $150/night, our experience with no hot water was completely unacceptable) and the Expedia rep contacted the motel while I waited on hold and came back to tell me that the motel was willing to refund the last night of our stay. I was grateful and some of my faith in this motel was restored, however, with so many places in the area to stay, we will definitely not be back to Fairbridge PRIMARILY because parking is such an issue.

Room Tip: There is a swimming pool and hot tub here and after 10PM it's open to adults only. Bring your sw...

I brought my family for the christmas lighting festival and it is expected that the price for accommodation would jump sky high! Having read about how fun this family oriented festival is, I didn't think twice to pay the premiums on our hotel stay. The location is close enough to the village that you can walk back and take a breather but far enough to be away from the noise and commotions of the area. The location is also a close driving distance to the ski hill and the horse sleigh rides which we intended to visit. The free hot breakfast was good, not phenomenal but enough to keep you satisfied.
I am sure that without paying the premiums on holiday season, the cost of stay at this hotel will be cost-effective. Paying $235/night for the festival weekend was a bit of a reach but the memories we had made it totally worth it.

Leavenworth WA is a pretty place, particularly dressed in Christmas lights in December.
The Fairbridge Inn & Suits is relatively cheap, but you get what you pay for. The rooms are not huge, but they are comfortable, although the decor is old and needs replacing.
The location allows you to walk to most attractions in town and although it is right on US HWY 2,
traffic noise is not a problem.
