“This inn had many amenities and a great location”
Reviewed 3 September 2012

This was our first trip to the Bavarian themed town. Coming from California, I couldn't help but compare it to Solvang. I have to say it compares favorably. The theme carries tastefully through to every aspect of the town, including the signage at the Howard Johnson! But we wanted to stay in a local place, and we really enjoyed the Enzian. A major highlight was the very diverse amenities they had to offer. A nice outdoor pool and spa in a spacious courtyard. Also an indoor pool area which had an adult swim hour from 10 - 11 pm. We thought that was a great option, just coming from a Holiday Inn where the pool was overtaken by screaming kids. When we checked it out early in the day, though, no one was there. It was also a spacious area and much nicer that you picture for an indoor pool facility. But let's point out: The hotel's patrons were mostly older. We are in our fifties and I'm sure we brought down the average age. While we were checking out the pool, we noticed a room where you can order a massage, and it looked really nice. Another cool thing: Across the street there was an 18 hole putting golf course. It was associated with the inn and a neat little activity to spend an hour or so. Breakfast was decent - they had an omelet chef which excites my significant other quite a bit. The room itself was just so so. It was clean, and not run down, but in need of a refresh. I understand the need to keep the theme, but it was an old fashioned TV and the bed was just acceptable. But the room was spacious and had a nice little balcony. Overall we had a great time, it was a good value, and I would definitely consider it for our next visit.

Room Tip: A better option might be to face to pool, or directly on the street or other side from ours, for the...

My wife and I wanted a place to relax and enjoy some time together and Enzian Inn at Leavenworth was just the place. The breakfast was great and the view and atmosphere was top notch. The Inn was also within easy walking distance to the stores. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time and look forward to staying again in the future.

I chose this Inn based on reviews. We could not get in our first night but booked it for the 2nd. It is a nice, beautiful lobby and the staff really try to accommodate requests but overall this felt like when your airline has overbooked the flight. A good problem for them... not so much for you. It had some really nice things too so here's my assessment:
Pros: good location, easy walk to town and river, free mini gold, breakfast is delicious, staff are polite and kind
Cons: check in was a zoo, despite a request for no feathers, we got feather pillows even though there was a card on the bed saying there was no down in the room (pillows labeled as goose down, see photo) To their credit, staff promptly changed out linens upon request. Air conditioner was old and very very loud. Room felt a bit outdated but was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and had AMAZING views of the local canyons but when we left it was a line out the door. They need to offer to deliver omelettes to tables since this was the hold up even for the non-omelette eaters.

Overall, I got the feeling that this was more of an enterprise that is expanding (they are building a new location) than a place committed to a warm and wonderful stay. Maybe it was the wrong week. And there was surely nothing bad about my stay but it just was not the five star stay I was expecting. For the price, it was perfectly fine.

Room Tip: There are lovely mountain views from the breakfast room so that side of the hotel might be very scen...

Every other year, our family meets for a family reunion/vacation, and it's always a challenge to find locations that can handle the range of interests spanning three generations. We chose Leavenworth this year, and stayed at the Enzian Inn. What a great choice! It was a lovely place to stay. There was a range of rooms, including suites for the families with young children that worked out great! The free Wifi was appreciated, the golf course was fun for our Putting Tournament. The breakfasts were delicious and the huge, scenic breakfast room was warm and friendly. The staff were helpful and courteous, the ambience was tasteful Bavarian, and it was within walking distance of everything. We shopped, ate, rafted, putted, and picnicked. Everyone said it was our best reunion ever!

Room Tip: Upstairs suites have views.

The Enzian Inn is a vacation destination. I stayed there at the end of June with 16 teacher friends and then with my 10 year old granddaughter at the end of July. The amenities are outstanding: delicious breakfast buffet with oh so friendly ladies cooking your omelets; the alphorn player who plays 2 short pieces at 8:15 and 9:15 every morning during breakfast; an 18 hole putting green across the street (beautifully landscaped); an indoor and outdoor pool; a large heated hot tub outdoors; piano players play for at least 1 1/2 hours every evening just off the lobby; the furnishings throughout the inn are so Bavarian. If you are without a car, a shuttle will pick you up and take you to and from the outdoor theatre (We saw Sound of Music). And the inn is just across the street and down a block to the main street in picturesque Leavenworth.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautifully furnished. One just needs to decide on which floor to stay.

Great hotel. Room was large & spacious & beds were very comfortable & clean. Hotel is quiet, centrally located with a lovely pool. Lots of fun for kids in the pool. Great value with the breakfast buffet included. The Alpenhorn is a delight that everyone enjoys. Will definitely return for another stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not directly facing the highway. Although noise was not a problem I don'...

We chose the Enzian Inn in Leavenworth based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed. It has the German decorations and feel to go aong with the town. It is in a great location within walking distance of everything. Our room was large and nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable. One note on the beds - they are made up in European style - no top sheet, just the comforter. This worked fine for us, but I did find out later that there are sheets in the dresser if you prefer to make the bed up the "normal" way. The Enzian has a fantastic breakfast buffet including build-your-own omelets and home-made cinnamon rolls that were excellent. Also, twice during breakfast every morning the owner of the Inn stands out on the balcony and plays his alphorn in his German attire. It was cool to see. All of the staff at the Enzian were very friendly. There is also a 18-hole putting course right across the street from the Inn. If you are staying at the inn you get a complimentary game. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would not hesitate to return.
