“Great views and clean restroom”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 February 2014

This is a quaint park in Leavenworth. Take your pictures, use the clean public restrooms, read the signs for tourists, and enjoy the flowers!

“Great point to branch out in Leavenworth”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2014

With it decorated for Christmas, it was a beautiful spot for us to park nearby and walk in all directions. Lots of window shopping, wine tasting, and people watching are right nearby.

“Holiday time”

Beautifully decorated Christmas trees with bright lights along Front street. Shops remained decorated and have lovely gifts and novelty items. We enjoyed wine tastings.

“No snow, but still beautiful with all the lights”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 January 2014

The park is such a central, great place to meet and visit and when there's snow on the ground, the hill is wonderful for sledding down. The gazebo is pretty and all the surrounding trees are lit up beautifully, against the majestic mountains, making a one-of-a-kind scene that you'd have to travel to Europe to see. The park is right along the main thoroughfare, Front St, across from many of the stores and restaurants, and is a good size which can accommodate hundreds of people comfortably.

“Surprisingly nice field trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 December 2013

Having seen plenty of Christmas lights and decorations in Hong Kong, Stanley Park Vancouver, and other malls and places, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the decorations in Bavarian themed Leavenworth are. I had very low expectations that visiting Leavenworth would be worth the over four hour drive from Vancouver (plus all the rigmarole of getting into the US). However, in all honesty I found the experience to be truly memorable, the setting especially in the sub zero December temperatures of a Bavarian village lit up with thousands of Christmas lights looked truly beautiful. It was a pleasure to see all the children sliding down the Bankside on their sledges as adults stood next to open fires in the streets keep warm. All this while musicians played Christmas carols from a bandstand which made the overall atmosphere and impression really Christmassy, and for a while it was possible to feel transported to the German alps rather than a small town in America. A word of caution however, the word seems to be out as this small town's hotels were fully booked and we were only able to get a room in the town of Wenatchee, which is 30 miles away. So book and plan in advance.
