Uncle Uli's Pub is an odd little place, tucked under a hotel, where supper may be taken indoors or out. A family with kids and a dog wanted to eat outside, despite the snow piled up around the patio, so the cook set up propane heaters which surrounded them with a cocoon of hot air. The cook also grills outdoors and shuttles the food to the tables. The bartender/waitress had an odd accent. My wife said Texas and I said Arkansas but she said Oklahoma, in a little town in the corner of the state which shares language traits with Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. Southern accents are sexy. The cream of broccoli soup was a delight. Sweet wife and I both ordered the special: a bratwurst sampler -- one regular brat and one made on the premises with jalapeno and cheese, served on a bed of sauerkraut, and four sauces, all of which were killer: hot German mustard, Polynesian barbecue, curried mustard and hot red barbecue sauce. This is a fun place to which we will return.
