“Fun little place!”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

We usually stop at the 59er Diner once or twice a year on our way to Leavenworth or to Lake Wenatchee for camping. The diner is a great little place with good home-cooked food and wonderful milkshakes! The walls are decorated with autographed photos of 50's celebrities and the have an old Wurlitzer jukebox. I love that all the waitresses are named "Flo"!
The diner is very popular so it can get crazy busy, especially during the summer, but definitely worth a visit!!

“Best Strawberry Shake EVER!”
Reviewed 1 March 2014

Enroute to the Special Olympics we got lucky and found this great Diner. We found the waitresses (all named Flo)& the " Soda Jerk" amazingly friendly and entertaining to our two "special" boys. Everything we ordered was great but the shakes were OUT OF THIS WORLD YUMMY! Best is in my 60+years!
We were told that there was another 59er Dinner in Cashmere so we went there tonight for a little dessert. While the dessert was pretty good and our personal waitress was sweet- this place didn't hold a candle to the warm, friendly & delicious Lake Wenatchee Diner.

“Vastly overrated.”
Reviewed 20 January 2014

Breakfast was terrible. French toast and ham were overcooked.
No banana taste in banana pancakes. Waitresses forgot our coffee. Juke box was so loud we could not hear ourselves talk.
Patrons were shouting at each other to raise the noise level more so. Kitchen was a mess as we viewed that area raising questions as to food sanitation.

“Vastly overrated.”
Reviewed 20 January 2014

The 59'er Diner was a favorite of locals for many years. Unfortunately, the hype did not meet reality. The prices are quite high, and food quality and taste sub par for our breakfast. Banana pancakes had very little banana taste. Ham was overcooked. Waitresses forgot our coffee. Orders were mixed up. Juke Box with Elvis favorites had the volume so high we could not hear ourselves talk. Other patrons shouted over the noise to make themselves heard. Not a pleasant experience. The kitchen was a mess, with questions as to sanitation, as we viewed the area

“We had high expectations”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

This restaurant had been on our bucket list ever since we heard it had been named "a best of".
While we were a little disappointed overall the service and atmosphere were good and the food was just ok.We happened to arrive at 11:30am and right around noon the place started getting packed and they only have about 8 tables, so we lucked out.

We were seated promptly and enjoyed looking at all of the 50's items they had on display and even tried answering the trivia questions. Even knew a lot of the 50's songs playing on the jukebox.

I normally order a soda but after I saw that they had world famous shakes I decided to order one and told Flo (all waitresses are named Flo) that I had narrowed it down to 4 and after giving her my choices she combined 2 of my choices. Yes it was wonderful! After giving us the leftovers there was enough for 2-1/2 glasses. Our burgers were prepared as we had requested.

Instead of a chocolate or mint they give you a half stick of gum with your bill.
