I feel badly that I did not post earlier, but what a wonderful stay my husband and I had last summer. The hotel room and lobby were immaculate and staff was very helpful! We would definitely go back!

We spent two nights at the lodge and were very happy with the clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff and great breakfast. We traveled from Seattle on the train and they made a "brown bag" breakfast to send with us the last day. Loved they decor in the lodge and rooms.

My husband and I went to Leavenworth for a quiet weekend away. The village itself is so wonderful and full of shops and wineries, but this hotel was easily one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. From the moment you walk in the front door, the staff is very friendly and the decor is exactly what you'd expect by the hotel's name. In the lobby they have tea, coffee, and dvds to choose from 24 hours a day. In the mornings, their breakfast is more of a small buffet than your standard continental. The beds and pillows were so comfortable that we couldn't help but nap in the afternoons. The room is very spacious and we would recommend the Turret suite to anyone else traveling as a couple w/o children. The shower is great and the jacuzzi tub in its own separate room made the extra money for the room more than worth it.
The only negatives we found were that you could still hear quite a bit of noise in the hallways and occasionally from the street (though I'm told it's much quieter on the back side of the hotel where street noise goes). We still slept well b/c the bed is so comfortable, but the occasional noise of someone in the hall did wake us up. Also, the elevator is incredibly slow. But those are quite literally the only negatives we found at all.

My husband and I stayed here for one night in the fourth floor turret suite and the entire stay was wonderful! The room was huge, clean, and had everything we needed. The hot tub worked perfectly and the abiance in the tub area was very romantic! The bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in, the shower was big, and very clean! The selection of DVDs to check out for free was large and varied. We ate breakfast at the hotel and were very pleased, there was something for everyone and plenty of it. The location was perfect, very central to everything and we got some great advice from the front desk about where to go for dinner. Once we checked out they let us leave our car in their parking lot while we explored the town for a few hours. Overall this was one of our best hotel experiences and if we ever return to Leavenworth we will for sure stay at the Bavarian Lodge!

We just got back from a weekend trip to lovely Leavenworth and highly recommend staying at the Bavarian Lodge. The hotel looks out (over Hwy 2) onto the main town square of Leavenworth. If traffic noise might bother you I would recommend booking a Mountain View room, which look out the back of the hotel, over the small car park to the mountains behind. The Village View rooms face the highway and I did hear one woman saying the traffic noise was noticeable.

We stayed in a King Room which was very spacious and included a small sofa/seating area in addition to the King bed, bathroom, microwave and small fridge. A great amount of attention has been paid to the layout and decoration of these rooms and the hotel interiors. My only issue with the hotel was that the bed mattress and pillows were very soft so if you like a firmer mattress you might want to ask if they can do something ahead of time

We were travelling with our toddler and he was made to feel very welcome by all the staff. The lobby is decorated with lots of teddy bears of various sizes which you can "adopt" for a small fee. They even put a teddy bear in our room which was a nice touch.

The service at this hotel was very good, check in/check out was very efficient, staff was helpful in making restaurant recommendations, etc. Information was easily accessible about happenings in the town during our stay. There were complimentary DVDs to borrow and watch in your room and satellite TV as well. Self-serve tea and coffee was available 24hours in the lobby and the sitting area in front of the fireplae was very inviting (especially with the live piano music in the evenings)

And finally, but definately not lastly, the complimentary breakfast was a cut above the average. Self-serve but definately not continental there was a hot egg dish and some sort of sausage/bacon/ham every day, homefries, biscuits and gravy, make-your-own waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, cereals, yogurt, fruit, toast/bagels/english muffins and plenty of jams, spreads, juices, Starbucks coffee and Tazo tea. I wish I hadn't eaten so much at dinner in the German restaurants across the street!

I would also suggest eating at King Ludwigs and Andreas Keller if you want an authentic German meal. Both were family friendly and the portions are large. The live music on the weekends was nice and not too intrusive.
