“Intimate Wedding”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

We held our wedding at this lodge Feb 2014. Staff was very helpful and Jaimi did a wonderful job organizing the wedding. The lodge is beautiful and the rooms upstairs were stunning. The nicest rooms I have ever seen. Sleigh rides were fun. We also rented the Alpine cabin for the kids and were quite surprised at how large it was. We will definately go back for a romantic getaway.

We've been coming to Mtn. Springs Lodge for over 15 years, and every time we leave with smiles on our faces. Nestled in the Chumstick Valley near the little town of Plain, this haven for the outdoorsy types is comprised of several A frame cabins and a few larger lodges spread out over many acres of green fields, surrounded by pine forests and accented by stands of Quaking Aspen.
The Newell family have been running it for years and are all delightful. When we firsts came, Bob's children were small; now some of them help run the place.

This was an anniversary trip, and being October, we had nearly the whole place to ourselves. We stayed in one of the themed suites upstairs in the main lodge, with a Jacuzzi tub and large fireplace to keep off the autumn chill outside. Peace and quiet, tasteful décor, and romance made up for an unforgettable trip, as always.

Thank you! As one of those "small children who now helps run the place", I have to say our absolute favorite thing here is our wonderful repeat guests that we have gotten to know over the years :) Thank you for returning year after year...we look forward to seeing you again!

We did not stay at the lodge but will next visit to this wonderful outdoor haven. We signed up for the snow mobile tour-4 adults, our first time trying out this activity. Our female guide was fabulous, respectful (of our limited experience), and knowledgeable about the sport and the local history.
It is a little farther away from Leavenworth than many of the other properties.

We stayed in the Northwest Territory Suite at mountain Springs Lodge in Jan. 2014. A nice quiet time of the year to enjoy and relax the beauty of Washington. We arrived after a snow so we were able to enjoy a day out with our snow shoes. There are some cute shops and wine tasting rooms in Leavenworth where we spent an entire day exploring.

Room Tip: Northwest Territory Suite was a large & lovely room with a stone fireplace and jetted bathtub.

My husband and I wanted to get away for the week-end. We booked Coleman Cabin and it looked lovely. The web-site was very misleading and hopefully that is changed now. We realized it was off site but did not realize it was a "granny apartment" above a garage. The suite was well done but it was not private and felt like I had to "tip-toe" around on someone's property who was next door. The management did "comp" our room and we left and stayed in Leavenworth. It was a great disappointment for us. The mountain springs lodge area itself looked really nice; but I did not see any of the rooms on site.

I was invited to The Mountain Springs Lodge to be a part of a friends wedding. It was a magical weekend filled with wonderful surprises. As we drove the rather winding road to get there up Chumstick Rd. we were surprised to see the gorgeous flowers, vast fields, center pond and beautiful log style buildings that made the location worth the drive. We checked in at the main lodge which also houses their restaurant and were assigned to the Trailhead lodge which was beautiful. It had 4 bedrooms with doors, a bedroom with a curtain, 3 shared bathrooms and a huge loft that had two king beds and 4 singles and a pool table! The lodge, we were told, slept 18. The lodge had a big kitchen, dining area and living area with a gorgeous fireplace. There was a hot tub on the deck and an outdoor fire pit. If we weren't there for a wedding it would be a great place for a large extended family or even a girls weekend get away. The food was fabulous that was served at both the rehersal dinner and the evening of the wedding. My only suggestion to those coming to stay is bring food to put in the fridge for light lunches or snacks and bring coffee! They have a coffee stand in the main lodge but was surprised they didn't supply it at each lodge. Regardless, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. The lodge provided nice clean white towels, soap and make-up remover towelettes. You would need to remember to bring shampoo and conditioner which is usually provided at hotels. I would highly recommend this as a beautiful place to take in Washington's gorgeous natural environment (we even saw a wild turkey and it's babies)! The owners ( Jamie & Nick) were very friendly, came at the drop of a dime if needed and were very inviting. The buildings were spaced pretty far apart which if you had not rented the whole property like our group did there was tons of privacy. It was around a 20 min. drive from downtown Leavenworth which was a great outing to spend the day.

Room Tip: The master bedroom had a large soaking tub and private bathroom. The rest of the bathrooms were comm...

I stayed late May 2013, and had originally booked the Coleman Cottage. However, since I was going to be there for four nights during mid week, I really wanted a kitchen and a bit more space as well as privacy (coleman cottage is a one room place on top of another home and on another person's property).

The management was really lovely in letting me change to the Alpine Lodge - and what a lovely lodge it was. Open plan living area, with really well stocked kitchen and cosy lounge area with double story windows. The accommodation in general was simple but charming, and everything you could need for a short to longer stay (including washing machine and dryer). I found the hum of the hot tub too noisy, so they turned it off for me.

It was unfortunate that they had experienced severe storms in December, which had toppled many trees in the area, including those over trails and near the stream, but it was still lovely walking if you could climb over/ under the fallen trees.

The horseback ride was great, very individual horse who didn't just plod along - fantastic guide.
The place is located a short drive to Wenatchee Lake, and a longer drive to Leavenworth along a fairly twisty road.

Only a couple of tiny things made this not quite a 5 for me - I would have liked the lodges a little further apart and a little more privacy out front - though it hadn't hit peak season yet, and I didn't hear my one set of neighbours. I had also hoped to partake of a lodge breakfast and dinner while there, but these weren't available mid-week.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I'm sorry you weren't able to dine with us during your stay. We have made a change in our dining program and are now able to accommodate midweek dining by advance reservations. I do hope that you are able to stay with us in the future!
