The Trip Advisor reviews were helpful in finding a place I wanted to stay in Leavenworth. We are glad we chose Abendblume and in the Almrosen room. A lovely view, helpful hosts, great bed and good food and everything so spotlessly clean and cared for. We'll go back I hope.

My husband and I received a gift certificate from my mother-in-law for this wonderful B and B. We decided to use it to celebrate my 40th birthday and have a romanitc getaway without the kids. We were totally wowed by the beauty, peaceful atmosphere, richly decorated rooms and superb service. The food was outstanding. The antiques for sale throughout the dining area added a special touch, as did the AlpHorn player serenading us. It was all around a top notch facility and to be highly recommended especially for that "special occasion."

Everything was wonderful! The staff was so friendly and helpful! The food was delicious including a rich dessert waiting for us every evening! The very comfortable king bed had down comforters and pillows. A peaceful, beautiful and sprawling countryside surrounds the inn. We will always come back to stay at the Abendblume when we are in Leavenworth!

This is a lovely place a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of the busy main street. We had a great time and would recommend it highly to anyone going to Leavenworth.

We just spent 3 nights at Abendblume and it was absolutely great! The setting is incredibly beautiful - just a few miles (2?) out of downtown Leavenworth but feels so much quieter than being downtown and is simply surrounded by natural beauty with mountain views, trees, and flowers surrounding the property. The interior and rooms have an elegant Bavarian lodge feeling to them. We were really impressed by the woodwork and wrought iron railing/banister throughout the interior. The hosts were very gracious and served a gorgeous breakfast including some home-made German pastries and treats. Dessert was served each evening. We staying the Dornroschen (Sleeping Beauty) room - definitely thought it was beautifully done with a very well appointed bathroom - huge walk-in 2 person shower with multipe head and body jets, a 2 person jetted tub. Great balcony with flower boxes wrapping around the corner of the room/B&B. We enjoyed watching hummingbirds visit the flower boxes. Being a huge animal lover, I also enjoyed feeding/visiting the farm's 2 goats - Prancer and Shorty - adorable and so sweet! Nice lab dog also! Highly recommend this B&B if you are considering a stay in Leavenworth or the surrounding area!

  • Liked — Beautiful rooms and property - quiet location but so close to Downtown Leavenworth
  • Disliked — N/A - loved it all!

My husband and I stayed in Brigitte, one of the smaller rooms, for 2 nights. It was very charming, with luxury bedding and robes.
The room was decorated with a cheerful yellow blue and white theme, and there was a canopy bed and a tv in the armoire. The bathroom was very basic, but I peeked into the larger suites and the bathrooms were very luxurious, so you get what you pay for. We had a nice little balcony that had no flowers in the boxes- the nicer rooms did have flowers . This balcony was on the back side of the house, so you could see the trash area if you looked for it. The better rooms had views of the mountains and fields which were quite beautiful. If we were to return, we would probably pay a bit more to get one of the larger suites with a better view. The Inn itself is absolutely beautiful, with a really cozy eating area ( lots of detailed woodwork ) , a beautiful living room and patio with hot tub and flowers everywhere, and there were lots of charming German touches, from music boxes to pottery, that really made us feel that we were in Europe. Every inch of the place was well maintained and very very clean. The owners were very hospitable, and the food was excellent. The first night, they put out a rich chocolate torte and coffee and tea for the evening. The second night was a wonderful cinnamon cake. Breakfast was served buffet style, and was extensive and beautifully presented, with hot and cold dishes, gorgeous fruits and pastries, meats and cheeses etc. We really enjoyed the location as well- Just a few minutes drive out of Leavenworth, yet
far removed from the activity and noise. ( the Sound of Music comes to mind )
This really is a very special place and we were very happy that we found it. We would stay here again without question. I would love to see it decorated for Christmas !
